Just awful. Worn-down, noisy, mouldy ceilings, inedible breakfast, shady beds and generally depressing. Pretty much the worst hotel we've stayed at on this side of the equator. Don't even think about it.

I stayed in this hotel with a group as part of a school trip and found it to be better than expected. The rooms, while basic, were clean and provided all of the amenities that we needed. I was fairly disappointed with the breakfast, as i felt there was not much choice. Regardless of this, the hotel was a decent...

We booked this hotel as it had been recommended by a friend. It has to be said it was fairly central and close to Russel Square tube station- which is handy. The food (breakfast) was nice, although sometimes hard to find a seat as it was very busy. Not many food places near by- other than on site (pizza place)....

I was in the hotel for 8 days and it was during a hot spell of weather. We had no air conditioning and also no provision of fans. It was horrible during the night. Also no walk-in shower. One has to lift his/her leg more than 3 feet high to get in the bath. How about disabled or elderly people?

Part of the Imperial London Hotels. A group of hotels all in the same area, which we use every time we visit London. The wi-fi in this hotel as improve and now can be used in all their rooms. The National is a very large hotel and is used by larger groups, having said this all rooms are cleaned daily...

Our group were moved to this hotel after serious issues with the first hotel we had booked. The Royal National were able to accommodate all of our group at very short notice. The staff were friendly and efficient on arrival and dealt with our needs. The rooms we were in were dated, but you can see that renovations have occurred...

In virtually all aspects this hotel provided a very nice place to stay, and the breakfast in particular was a highlight. Not a fan of the courtyard separating the two lobbies and the hotel can be difficult to navigate however these are minor issues one could deal with after a few nights stay. The wi-fi was very slow but existent....

Booked in for a one night stay in a twin room. Great early check in which was welcome, the room was clean, quiet and pretty basic but perfect for a quick stop. Wifi worked and water was hot ! I left an item behind by accident and despite their assurance that housekeeping are looking into it, I've not heard anything...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
