Very basic hotel, think slightly run down travelodge. Breakfast is like a free for all-top tip is to grab a table before you get your food as you will be wandering around for ages looking for one whist you coffee gets cold. Do not pay full price which is £93 pounds per night and billed as 3 star which it really...

Stayed here on my own from 8th to 11th December for an exam which was happening in the hotel itself. It's the only reason I didn't abandon my deposit and head elsewhere. Arrived early, about 11.30. Granted check in isn't until 2pm, but they couldn't have been less interested when I asked if I could by any chance check in...

First off, let me say that I wanted to write a really positive review about this place. I was sure all the negative comments would be unjustified and first impressions proved positive. Yes there were lots and lots or people from all nationalities milling around and there was a chaotic edge to it, a bit like an airport, but when...

Just have to say, nothing wrong with this hotel, just returned from a3 night break and it was fine. Dont know what some people are expecting for what you pay for this place. Room was fine, good size, bit dated but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choices and as much as you could eat. Lots of kids...

We have stayed 3 nights and after reading so many reviews in Tripadvisor, I was prepared for not very good service. After all, it was not so bad. The hotel is really big (it is the biggest hotel I have ever stayed in) and very busy. The check in was very quick - luckily there was no other tourists when...

Just come back from a cheap weekend stay at the Royal National. I asked for a quiet re-furbished room and the hotel staff complied with my request. For the price we paid (£99 per adult b&b with train travel) I think the Royal National was fantastic value for money. The hotel is the biggest in London, is constantly busy, so...

Don't believe the reviews. My friends and I have just come back from a 3 night stay and found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Shower would blow you away. Only complaint - no heating in DECEMBER. Draughty windows - they need replacing with double glazing. We were right on a main road, very noisy. Breakfast was a free...

After reading other reviews of this hotel I was extremely apprehensive about our stay but I stayed at this hotel with my 17 yr old daughter and 3 yr old neice for a weekend in November and we had a great time. The hotel reception staff were efficient but not very friendly. Our room was clean, tidy and more than...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
