If you are a single traveller, this hotel has small and very small single rooms which are economical, particularly if you are prepared to wait to the last minute. Or, do as I did, book a flexible earlier, then cancel and re-book when the prices have dropped. OK, the very small - IS, very small, but it is comfortable with...

They are a team of young employee who will try their best to help you but you can feel and see they would need proper mentoring. The bed was comfortable and shower temperature easy to adjust. The restaurant impressed me with the table. To bad all the real dish were missing: the sole, duck, and meat. You can accept a...

Good location, slightly away from hush n bustle of city. Still located close to many shops. Rooms clean, to 4 star level with good water supply. Onsite wine bar- good collection. Pub food/ dining available, not used personally.

Hotel located in a very quiet area, short walk to Westminster, St James Park (and tube station) and Victoria Station. Friendly staff and very clean. Avoid room G5 (basement), terrible bed and battered mattress; I fail to understand how a hotel would not invest in good quality beds, being its prime purpose of existence. Breakfast very expensive (GBP18/24) but the...

Although my wife and I only stayed at the Grange Rochester for one night when stranded in the City by fog at Heathrow airport, we were quite taken by the style and location and would certainly consider staying there for longer on our next and longer visit to London.

The Grand Rochester is located close to Victoria Station and is therefore a convenient place to stay when arriving or leaving London. Our room was quite small but was clean and had all the necessary requirements and the bathroom was modern and spacious. The breakfast is generous, varied and tasty. There is a comfortable bar next door to the hotel...

Grange Rochester is on Vincent Square. From Victoria Station head along Vauxhall Bridge Road to Rochester Row and turn left (just before the BP petrol station). In fairness there are plenty of hotels and B&Bs if you turn right at the same intersection (down Warwick Way), but you take your chances when it comes to quality. I'm sure there are...

The hotel was situated within walking distance of all the main sites of London. What I liked about this hotel was the price too. Not too much, not too little, just right. I appreciated the friendliness and helpful staff. They were quick to respond to our needs. We bought two adapters the hotel lended us one additional at no cost....

I've been in this hotel for the third time, it has been my choice while I had to stay in London both for business purposes and for personal vacation. It is really comfortable since it is quite close to Victoria's station, and you can also easily reach bus stops in Victoria's street and Westminster Abbey. Rooms are nice, clean and...

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
