London doesn't seem to do budget tourist hotels like other cities. But you do get what you pay for and £99 probably the going rate for a place like this. But a 3% supplement to use a credit card and a £6-50 for breakfast seemed a bit steep. As are the stairs. Presumably this has been an old city town...

Friendly and helpful staff who were more than obliging; spotlessly clean and comfortable room with en-suite; practical facilities that ensure all basic needs are met (no extra unnecessary frills); perfect location 5 minutes pleasant walk to Oxford street and approximately a further 2-3 minutes walk to Marble Arch underground station; reasonable prices that reflect the quality of room provided....in summary,...

Had the smallest room in the place, even knowing that, was still a bit shocked at how tiny it was. There was no room to turn around, definitely no room for luggage. They mention there are free snacks and drinks in the rooms on their website but besides tea and coffee, all other food in the room was labeled as...

This B&B was in an amazing location. 5 minutes walk from Oxford street and another couple of minutes to Marble Arch. Great for shopping and sightseeing via the bus tours. Located right on a main bus route and about 300m from a great little pub "The Three Tuns" for great food and drink. The B&B is really well presented and...

Stayed here for one night stopover after 4 days at a 5 star hotel in Portugal and the comparison then was stark. However for what I needed the room for, which was a short overnight after getting a late flight back into Heathrow with an early morning meeting in London it was adequate. I arrived late and check in was...

This is a lovely hotel that in my opinion is very good value given it's location. We had a very pleasant stay and the help and curtesy from staff was second to none. It is clean and cheerful and the breakfast served we found to be substantial. Big thumbs up and can recommend it.

Nice and clean hotel near Marble Arch. It's worth mentioning that it has a lot of stairs and I was on the top floor, so I had to climb quite a lot. It was not a problem for me, but someone who finds it difficult to do so should definitely take this into account when enquiring about a room. They...

It's always hard to judge hotels, especially in London where prices are everywhere. This was a fine safe choice. I had a twin room, which was impressive for its smallness- the bathroom was an amazing economy of size, your feet were sitting in the shower when you sat on the toilet. And there are alot of stairs- but they are...

I can only think that there are some rooms far better than others in this hotel given that some people love it and others hate it. We were on the 4rth floor which has been added as a loft extension at some point. From the lobby area, it is 79 steps to get there. Room facilities were fine, room is...

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
