Holiday Inn London - Regent's Park is frequently lauded for its prime location near tube stations and attractions, with guests particularly appreciating its proximity to Regent's Park. The hotel's cleanliness and friendly staff often earn positive remarks, as does the varied breakfast.
However, some guests feel that the rooms, while clean and cozy, are in need of modernization and better maintenance to provide good value. The inviting atmosphere of the hotel is acknowledged, but opinions on value for money are mixed due to the room's size and amenities.

The hotel is close to 2 subway stations: Great Portland Street and Warren Street. - Friendly, professional reception. - The room was rather small but well equipped with 2 beds, a small armchair and table, a large shelf or desk, a kettle with tea and coffee, a safe, a fridge, air conditioning. The windows could be opened a little, but we closed them at night because of the noise. The mattresses were very good, not too hard or too soft. - Small bathroom with a good shower. Sufficient storage space for toiletries. There were dispensers for soap, body lotion, shampoo and shower gel. - There is a Sainsbury's nearby, where you can buy food for breakfast much more cheaply.
Didn't like it · Unfortunately you can only pay by credit card. I wanted to get rid of my remaining pounds sterling, but it didn't work.

Great hotel with fabulous staff. Only here for one night. The Reception staff were really friendly and efficient. The hotel room was spacious with everything I needed including iron and ironing board and all was spotlessly clean. And - the windows opened which is a real bonus these days. All in all - a great place and a good price.

Fantastic stay here for a few days to attend a concert. , The friendly and wonderful gentleman on reception ( apologies forgot his name, but he worked in a Glasgow hotel previously) absolutely gave us a great start by allowing our room well ahead of check in time and gave us a voucher for breakfast. After a sleepless night on the overnight Sleeper train this was so welcome. Room 261 fantastic, facing the street so will be some noise during the day but it is London. Very happy with the room, big TV, great bath, shower and a really comfortable bed. It was in the middle of a heatwave so windows open during the day, but shut with air con at night which worked perfectly. Breakfast was a buffet hot and cold style with staff dishing out the hot food and always clearing away so eating area was immaculate. Didn’ t go into the bar or eat dinner here but if it’s anything like breakfast it will be lovely. Theres a Starbucks also on 1st floor where breakfast is served. The location is ideal for proximity to tube stations and major stations like Euston, and various restaurants and pubs nearby. Have been to London 3 times in the last 8 months for trips but this hotel has been the best yet. Will return here without hesitation, absolutely the best staff. Thoroughly recommend.

We stayed at this hotel several years ago and enjoyed a great stay, and therefore we decided to give it another go. We were slightly concerned having read some of the reviews, but I’m pleased to say that we enjoyed a wonderful stay. The room we had was comfortable, well equipped and extremely clean with some nice little extras. The breakfast was excellent and varied, a member of staff plated up the items you required, which I assume was to reduce the level of waste which I was in favour of. The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and they were incredibly polite and helpful. The bar area was pleasant and I’m pleased to say that the drinks were reasonably priced for central London. We will definitely be returning in 2025, thank you to all.

Room was clean and quiet, despite being near the lifts (room 203). One of the worst showers I’ve ever endured as there seemed to be very little water pressure! Bathroom itself was incredibly basic, but did the job. Bed was ok, but was sagging badly on one side. Seemed like the room was missing lights as lots of light switches that did absolutely nothing; and the only room lights were tiny! No plug next to the bed either, which was a bit annoying. Air con was brilliant! Breakfast buffet was rather good, and reception staff were also very helpful in supplying a toothbrush & toothpaste. Overall, not great, not terrible.

Staff - staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the stay.
Breakfast - really nice breakfast, there is a hot buffet that is plated up by the chef. Good selection of cereals, breads, hot food and pancakes.
Room - the bathrooms are small and in need of modernisation but we managed. On the whole the room was clean although I dropped something down the side of the bed and I could see in the corner there was a big build up of dust which was badly needing hoovered and wouldn’t have taken much to rectify with a bit more care. There was a fridge in the room but it made loud cracking noises occasionally which made me think someone was at the door during the night. There is a room safe, hair dryer in the room, tea/coffee making facilities and shampoo & body wash in the bathroom which was good.
Overall I would stay here again but the hotel is definitely needing some TLC.

firstly parked in the underground car park where paid £40 from friday 2 pm until 3,30pm sunday, there is an attendant on site and a lift up into the hotels reception which was very nice and clean, the Front Desk Receptionists we very nice and welcomed you with a smile,
we were given the room key and we were on the 5th floor which looked like new carpet layed, the room was nice enough and could not Fault, we had a bath with shower, altho not too powerfull you could still have a nice shower.
in the Breakfast Room we were Greeted by Joseph who had a beaming smile and a very nice Attitude and was the only team member who Engaged us and asked if we were ok and if we enjoyed our breaklast and who asked how the shows were like to which we had seen, the Main manager just seemed to strut his stuff and not once engaged with us or any other Guest from our observation, he seemed too stiff and needs to relax a little and interact with his Guests, even a good morning and how are you would go a long way but he just walks around which is some what intimidating, maybe make joseph up as manager and the manager part of the Breakfast crew. but in General all the Breakfast team need leadership , also chat with the Guests dont be frightened we wont bite.
be more upbeat, say morning, are you enjoying your breakfast, have a great day etc it all goes a long way...
overall we had a great stay and give a 10/10 for our stay my Review isnt a critism but just a little pointer to things that could be looked at improving to make your Guests feel welcome.
location ideal for Regents park and the zoo and 15 minutes walk to oxford street and soho Area for the various shows ,we walked to Dominion Theature on friday evening and walked back from Lycium Theature saturday.
thank you

As one of us is disabled we had asked when booking for an accessible room with a walk in shower. When we got to the room it was accessible but the bathroom was unacceptable. The shower was located over the bath. Yes there were grab rails but how someone in a wheelchair would manage is beyond me. The bathroom was plenty big enough to accommodate a wet room. We Complained and were moved to a room with a walk in shower. Breakfast is self service but is bedlam. Noisy and difficulty getting a table. And again from a disabled person viewpoint very challenging to get round.
On the plus side is on site parking and location.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a short break to London to celebrate our 60th birthdays, one belated and one a little early. The hotel was in a lovely area which for central London was relatively quiet both by day and night, and was in very close proximity to Great Portland Street tube station and within about 10 minutes walk to Warren Street tube station. The location of the hotel was an ideal centre for our planned events to the Regents Canal, Madame Tussaud’s and Tea at the Ritz. We arrived just after midday expecting just to drop off our luggage but our room was ready and we went straight up. I wouldn’t normally expect much of a view from a London hotel room but we were pleasantly surprised at the amazing view we had of the nearby BT Tower. Our twin bedded room was everything we needed and spotlessly clean. With the weather being so hot it was a bonus to have a small fridge in which we could chill our water and drinks. The air con was also very efficient and surprisingly quiet. If I had to find anything amiss I would say the bathroom was a little on the small side and didn’t appear to have a working extractor fan system. We didn’t report this as once the door was opened the steam soon dispersed. There was a good variety at breakfast and everything we had was very tasty. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening which also had a good and varied menu at reasonable prices and were served by Sabine who deserves a mention for her attentiveness and friendly approach. We also had drinks from the bar a couple of times and these areas just outside the breakfast venue were very quiet and again clean and well maintained. After checking out we were able to leave our luggage in reception to collect later in the afternoon, which was really beneficial and allowed us to make the most of our day before catching the train back home that evening. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and all the services provided. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful at all times. We would be happy to recommend the hotel to others and would readily return to stay on another trip to London.

The hotel is located in a quiet location in a mostly residential area, a few steps away from Great Portland Street underground station, supermarkets, and restaurants.
The rooms are reasonably sized for London – there even is space for a desk, two chairs and a table.
I found sleeping comfortable; the bed was good, two pillows were provided, it was quiet (even with the window open), and the curtains allowed to fully darken the windows.
The WiFi worked for me; the rooms have an ironing board, coffee & tea kettle, fridge, and hair drier (you might have to look for it – I found it in a different location every day…). Unfortunately, there are no sockets at the bed – you will have to use the ones provided at the desk.
The bath is equipped with a bathtub, which is installed on a plinth, so getting in / out could be a challenge for elderly guests; it also suffers from the usual low water pressure.
There is a good choice and friendly service to be had at breakfast.
Getting to the rooms and breakfast / the bar can be a bit time-consuming: The lifts are old and there are too few of them for the size of the hotel, leading to longer waiting times at peak hours (eg breakfast). Depending on the floor you are on, you might want to use the stairs to go to breakfast or back to your room.
