Stayed here for the night as we had a work party just round the corner so was a handy location. The room was nice and clean and staff on reception were particularly helpful. We were warned about some building works next door but luckily for us it didn't affect our stay Great location in the morning waking up, a quick...

Basic hotel reasonably priced in central London. Friendly staff, clean rooms - good if you need somewhere to just lay your head. Front of hotel does overlook an alley which could get noisy (plus Monday morning at 5am bottle bins were collected)!

Good location right by Bank tube station. However, I had room 211 on second floor and it was very loud outside with people walking past and street noise. Bathroom and carpets were a bit dirty. It was fine for a quick night's sleep for a couple hours but not a place I'd recommend a long stay or where you'll be...

Well looked after by the staff who went above and beyond and were very friendly! Only thing was the building work but that can't be helped. Would stay again, great location for getting around london and it's attractions.

I had a one night stay in a twin bedded room with a friend in this city centre hotel. The location is excellent, with shops, restaurants and bars in the area around the Bank of England and St Paul's available within walking distance. It also has excellent tube and bus links across London within a couple of minutes’ walk. The...

Limited amenities. Bed comfortable and clean, room small, shower hard to control temperature and water overflow. Very limited food services, box breakfast for purchase, instant coffee and tea in the room. But there are many good breakfast places, coffee shops within a short walk. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Street and construction noise an issue. We had to keep our...

Slightly hard to find, but had looked up recent comments to know where to go! Lovely friendly welcome! Had a lovely quiet room (even in the middle of London). Room lovely and clean, comfortable bed. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
