Well located Travelodge but be aware that the street is pedestrianised and if you have a lot of luggage to carry from a taxi, it's a little further than you might expect. Entrance is located through an archway which can be missed if you don't spot the smaller than usual sign.

Hotel was close to underground. Easy walking to central London. Room was clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel advised that there were building works near by and that there could be some noise after 8am but we did not hear anything.

Service was great, Nathan in reception was a complete legend. Helpful and on the ball. Would recommend as a great central London stop over. Good location with lots to do on your doorstep, central London just a few minutes walk.

We were welcomed by Jessica with a fantastic smile and she was there on departure. The room was spotless and in the perfect location for us. Would recommend to any/everybody. We stayed over Easter so was lovely and quiet and you'd have never known you were in Central London.

Stayed one night on 12th April. I've never stayed in a Travelodge before but would do so again without hesitation. The hotel & room were very clean and well maintained. My room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. Complimentary Tea & Coffee (more free on request), and all the usual ameneties you'd expect. The reception staff were without exception...

Tucked away in a little lane, this Travelodge is good for an overnight stay in the city at a reasonable price. There is a lot of building work not far away but it was quiet overnight so not a problem. The rooms are basic, as you would expect from a Travelodge, but were clean and the bed was comfortable.

Jessica, the person at the front desk, helped me out in a bind. I had booked the wrong week! She quickly moved my booking to the correct week (despite there being troubles due to a holiday) all while giving me helpful information. What I thought would be a disaster turned into a good experience. The room itself was good. Really...

I have stayed at this hotel twice in the last couple of weeks. The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Farrah noticed that I had booked a single room on the second occasion ( an error on my part) but I was allocated a larger room at no extra cost. The rooms are clean and basic, large comfy bed and...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
