London’s newest aparthotel is inspired by the brilliant Oscar Wilde and will delight those seeking a home from home that’s rich on charm, personality, style, elegance, creativity, quirkiness and originality. This brand-new 249-room aparthotel offers a range of design-led studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, all of which deliver the award-winning Staycity blend of home and hotel, but with lashings of Wilde’s signature style. This means the usual combination of home comforts such as fully equipped kitchens and hotel services such as 24-hour reception, but with the addition of superior interior finishes including natural timber flooring, bespoke joinery, crafts, artwork and soft furnishings, 43-inch smart TVs, appliances from high end brands such as Smeg and Nespresso, as well as luxuriant Hypnos mattresses and Grohe rainfall showers. Furthermore, with Wilde being proudly Irish-owned, each apartment is a showroom for some of Ireland’s most talented independent businesses, artists, crafters and more, while the walls of communal areas are adorned with contemporary Irish photography sitting alongside locally inspired pieces. This aparthotel also boasts a Wilde café serving a wide selection of tasty meals, snacks and drinks, a gym with a range of cardio equipment and weights and a super convenient location in Paddington. Flying into London Heathrow - you're just a speedy train ride into Paddington Station. Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Regent’s Park and the picturesque Little Venice - are just some of the many top attractions on your elegant doorstep here. Indeed, you might even spot some royalty on your travels!

We stayed here 11-15th February and had such a special stay. Room 1216 was amazing for a family or 4. We could see Big Ben in the distance which my 4 year old loved as she is obsessed with Big Ben. The location, amenities and cleanliness were all perfect. On our return from the theatre, there was a basket of treats in the room waiting for us. Correspondence with the staff before and during our stay was faultless. We plan on returning in a Nov 23 and are looking forward to it already. Thank you!

Dear Guest, “Never love anyone who treats you like you're ordinary.” ― Oscar Wilde Many thanks for taking the time out to write a fantastic review about us. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you to the Newly opened Aparthotel- the name inspired by Irish 19th-century playwright Oscar Wilde. I am delighted to read that you liked our rooms. Our design team has worked extremely hard to create something different and stylish for our guests, and we are so proud that they have done such a fantastic job, we call our self # EscapeOrdinary. Our rooms have the most up to date SMEG kitchens, touch screen lighting, and blackout blinds control( no switches), 43 inches smart TV's with Chromecast, and super fast WIFI (100MB) dedicated to each apartment. Our location, indeed one of the best in London, a short walk from Paddington Station and Edgware Road station. Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Regent’s Park and the picturesque Little Venice - are just some of the many top attractions on your elegant doorstep here. Indeed, you might even spot some royalty on your travels! We hope to see you again and if you are to travel back to our aparthotel feel free to email ahead with any special requests at guestservices.paddington@staycity.com Kind Regards, Matthew Ferguson, Guest Service Manager

The staff was very helpful and attentive from check in til departure. The are all so nice, cheerful and you can tell they take ride in delivering excellent customer service. Our room with the little kitchenette was absolutely perfect - coffee, milk/creamer, sugar and bottled water was stocked for our arrival. They use WhatsApp for communication and respond immediately! Our location was close to Edgeware Road and Paddington Stations which was perfect for getting to and from Heathrow as well as exploring London. We would definitely stay here again, the staff did an amazing job!

Really liked the central location. The aparthotel is very close to all amenities, services, shops and transport both in Paddington itself as well as the Edgware Road. The Marylebone flyover is quite close too, so it was a great base.

All of the staff were really helpful, polite and friendly (special thanks to Dany & David, apologies to the other staff whose names I didn't get, but you were fantastic too).

The immediate area itself was really quiet and safe, especially at night. The location of the Aparthotel itself was in a lovely, upscale place that was securely gated on a few approaches from the Plaza outside at night time.

Our room (high up) had great views of The City, Edgware Road and Nine Elms/Battersea area.

The room itself was really quiet and spacious (we were upgraded at check-in, thank you!). It had ample space in the living area and a great kitchenette. Microwave, electric hob, dishwasher and Nespresso machine! We had a good supply of coffee pods (that were replaced) as well as sugar, tea, condiments, dish soap and dishwasher tablets!

Bedroom was good too with another TV in there and the bathroom was fine as well. I especially loved the electronic blackout blinds on the windows. The noise insulation was also fantastic and we barely heard the traffic from outside.

Overall, fantastic in every way!

We found the location great for this 1 bed apartment in the Wilde Aparthotel near Paddington. food shops only a couple of mins walk and the tube in Edgeware road a few mins wood. Very central. 5 mins from Paddington station.

The apartment/hotel is modern contemporary and clean. The very large (larger than standard zip and link super king) bed in the 1 bed apartment room 701 was very comfortable. The bed is right next to the window on one side - so if 2 people are using the bed you have to climb over the bed to get in, which is strange and awkward, rather than moving the bed centrally in the room.

The room was almost next to the lift, but you only hear noise in the sitting/dining/kitchen area not bedroom. You don't hear the road noise due to good sound proofing, but the view was of the main road.

Kitchenette is small but adequate for a few night stay. The hob is not induction (seemed to take 15 minutes to get a pan of pasta water back to boiling - even though we used boiled kettle water). Dishwasher had 3 wash tablets provided, but machine said it needed rinse aid/salt. There were no instructions for the Hotpoint microwave/grill so we used QR code in the room to contact reception staff by WhatsAPP and they sent a pdf instruction. It was not an oven too just micro/grill. The kitchenette is quite well equipped (could do with a colander or sieve to strain pasta!).

The shower room has a decent rain and hand held shower, decent lights and towels. Quite a small windowless space but fine, clean and good quality.

The sitting dining area is light and bright (laminate floors - so take slippers). It is not overly comfortable or homely but adequate for a few night stay with a settee/sofa bed and table for 4.

Reception/bar area staff look more like guests working on their laptops when we arrived, so would have been better to make it obvious they are staff, welcoming guest to provide keys on arrive (we checked in online, but the woman we went to could not find our booking initially and said perhaps we were mistaken and booked Premier Inn nextdoor, which seemed rude and unhelpful). Staff need more training on efficient friendly customer service.

We would return as the space with a kitchen and location seemed good for our needs.

Tucked away behind Paddington Station and the Grand Union Canal, this new aoarthotel was everything we needed it to be. We arrived early morning from our flight and didn’t expect the room to be ready but the very obliging staff happily stored it in their luggage room for us whilst we headed out to explore.

We retrieved later in the afternoon to our twin room with a view facing west and could see the Wembley arch in the distance.

Room was really well equipped with small kitchen, lots of plates and cutlery, plenty of tea and coffee, a dinky bottle of milk and some mineral water. Bathroom small but very adequate with an excellent shower which had just the right amount of power.

Every surface spotlessly clean. No noise whatsoever when in the room, and although the hotel was fairly full, the communal areas were quiet and we never had long to wait for one of the four lifts.

All staff we had contact with were helpful, happy, chatty and courteous. We didn’t spend any time in the bar cafe area but we could see that it was well stocked and a useful facility if in room catering isn’t always your thing.

We have nothing negative to report. We will stay here again, no doubt about it. Thank you all!

Stayed here for one night on a business trip. The rooms are very well kitted out, including your own kitchen, so the room feels more like a very modern apartment. Dishwasher, electric hob, toaster, separate sink, utensils, plates etc...basically everything you need should you wish to be fully independent and prepare your own meals. The fridge was also a good size compared to some hotels. I am not a coffee lover but there was also a quality coffee making machine for your morning espresso! For Tea lovers there was a fine selection of tea and of course a kettle, again all located in the room.
All the electrics in the room are 'touch sensitive' no switch's, so very modern. Even the blinds covering the windows are touch sensitive electric, no need to leave your bed to open and close the blinds! Due to a tightly packed schedule I did not have time to enjoy the hotel breakfast so cannot comment, I was greeted by some nice continental breakfast smells in reception as I was checking out.
Morning check out times are a very busy period, my only comment for the the hotel is to perhaps ensure staffing levels are maintained during busy check out times.
What can I say, clean, modern hotel with helpful staff.

I had the most enjoyable and comfortable stay at this Wilde Aparthotels @Paddington. It's like a home away from home with no housework. The room is pleasantly fresh looking, clean and neat. Every essentials one needed is there, from the kitchen to the bathroom. They even have this cute little books by Oscar Wilde for easy reading pleasure other than a nice TV hung infront of the bed.

The staff are so obliging, friendly and polite. Even their Front Desk Manager, Operations Manager and the General Manager is around hands-on. No problem or request is too big for them to tackle....best service provided.

The food, especially breakfast is delightfully delicious. The chef cooked the eggs just right to the beat.

And after getting the bearing of this place, it is so amazing to find I am in one of the best location where I have Paddington Train Station less than 10 mins slow walk from Wilde Aparthotels, yes the big and famous Paddington Bear train station and there are two train lines that goes to Heathrow Airport. One is the express train on platform 6 which cost £25.00 one way to Heathrow airport and the other going the same way but it's not an express, it's a normal line that uses the underground Oyster Card, more economic travel. Plus Paddington station has trains and underground trains most convenient mode of transportation to London Central or anywhere it links. Then there is another underground station 5 mins slow walk infront of the Wilde Aparthotels. It's called Edgware Station. Then there is this very pretty sight called "Little Venice where all the boat houses are moored along this long canal. Shopping if one is lazy to go to the city, there is Mark & Spenser stores (clothings and stuff) located next to Edgware Station. The Mark & Spencer Food store is located out of Paddington Train station as you walk towards Wilde Aparthotels @ Paddington. There is the Waitroise Supermarket, Tesco Express and along the main road of Edgeware road, there are so many types of eateries from Lebanese, Moroccan to Indian food...so many choices.

At the vicinity of Wilde Aparthotels, there is this Brewdog that serve good beer and delicious burgers to have a nice relaxed moment.

When I first booked this Wilde Aparthotels @Paddington, I never expect such happy, relaxed and comfortable stay that make my Christmas to New Year such a wonderful time I had in London. I shall return for this nice and easy stay!

Happy 2022!

We do consider that small details make the big difference and even though we are not a full service hotel, we like to go the extra mile and do everything possible to make your stay better. From a leisure break to an office meeting and everything in between, our location is great to walk or a short underground ride to many London's major sites and just less then 30 minutes train journey from Heathrow airport or so many major train stations nearby. Wilde Apartment Paddington was an amazing stay for us. Couple in London visiting for the first time in 30 years.
Pros: Apartment had everything needed for us. Small but beautifully appointed. We like a kitchenette so we can make breakfast and snacks and it was really clean and user friendly. Only downside was I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the exhaust fan for the cooktop. I could have asked but kept forgetting. They do have 24 hour reception you can contact via what’s app. No problem with comms. Staff were friendly and professional. They kept our bags for us our last day of travel. Fantastic location about 5 min walk from Paddington tube (and Heathrow Express)
Cons: (struggling to find them)
No pillow cases when we arrived. I wasn’t sure if that was normal and they were hiding somewhere but reception apologised profusely and sent them up.
I thought the bathroom was quite dark even after I found the switch for the LED light on the mirror. However the full length mirror in the room was right next to the window so used that instead.
Would 100% stay here again - can’t recommend it highly enough.

Given the number of positive reviews, I expected exceptional service. However, I can say this of a very average hotel that offers a very average three star experience. Not bad, not great, just very average on par with Premier Inn. E.g., When I asked for water in three separate occasions, it took 2-4 hours (and a reminder) for that to happen. When I asked for trash to be emptied at 5pm, someone responded “do you still need it taken out” at 8:40pm. When I said yes, they told me to just put it outside the room (altho we didn’t have a new trash bag). Breakfast is 16 pounds for a mediocre (at best) food - no hot food, just a couple of pastries, bread, yogurt, deli selection and smoked salmon. Get food elsewhere - totally not worth the price and plenty of options in the vicinity. A lot of employees stand around in the reception area but given there isn’t really a designated front desk, it can get very crowded / congested at check in and out time. Positives: rooms are clean, having laundry downstairs is convenient (6 pounds a load for washer), and the location is convenient if you wish to stay in Paddington area. Overall, nothing major to complain about, and nothing major to write home about. Considering the price point, I’ll likely stay in a Premier Inn next time around.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you to our newly opened Wilde Aparthotel- the name inspired by Irish 19th-century playwright Oscar Wilde. Although I am extremely sorry to learn that we couldn't impress you. I am sure the team would have mentioned our concept; our concept is based on providing value for money in an expensive area in London instead of Hotel rooms. Most of the hotels are so expensive (In the Paddington area, a family room can be £350 to £450 a night) because their rates include services like daily Housekeeping cleaning ( which today's traveller doesn't need), in-house restaurants and Bars ( why guests would like to spend in expensive in-house restaurants and Bar when you have plenty of choices just a step away) and many other reasons. As an Aparthotel, we cut down all those overhead costs. We can provide an alternative option for Hotels, basically the luxury of an apartment combined with the convenience and service of a hotel room. You get the best of both worlds at an aparthotel. Building an Aparthotel in such a prime location wasn't an easy job for our design team. We have six different room types, storage under the beds, a kitchenette, touch screen lighting and blackout blinds control( no switches), and 43 inches smart TVs with Chromecast, appliances from high-end brands such as Smeg and Nespresso, as well as luxuriant Hypnos mattresses and Grohe rainfall showers. As a welcome amenity, we provide fresh milk, teas, expresso coffee capsules, water bottles, and dishwasher tablets, and our kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook a perfect meal if our guests want. Unfortunately, we don't provide daily cleaning or water. We also have a '24-hour honest pantry' on the ground floor, where our guests can buy lots of snacks, coffee capsules, water etc if they need further supplies. There are two grocery stores nearby if our guests need to shop. Regarding rubbish collection, we have a rubbish collection card, which can be displayed outside your doors if you want to have your rubbish cleared. No excuse; the team should have informed you on arrival or offered to remove it when you asked. I am also sorry that you were not happy with our breakfast. Yes, we don't serve a typical buffet English breakfast; instead, freshly prepared pastries, freshly baked cookies, homemade vegan granola, cold meats, including our famous smoothies shots. All the breakfasts are of premium quality from local suppliers. I am glad you liked our Laundry service. Again, it's very a unique offering in the heart of London; on average, in central London, the cost to wash and dry a small bag could be £20 to £30; however, our machine charges just £6, including the dryers. We always wanted to provide our best services; therefore, we have these laundry services, which you won't get in a typical London hotel. As a team, we care a lot about our guests and want them always to have a great stay. We are so sorry to know that you won't be coming back to stay with us. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly at Atul.prakash@staycity.com to discuss your feedback further. Once again, so sorry that we failed to impress you this time; if you give us a chance to earn back your trust, I can assure you that we will do our best to provide you with the great Wilde experience that so many of our guests have grown so fond of. Best regards Atul Prakash General Manager

Everything about this property is first class. We were looking for a self catering style accommodation to suit a couple and older teenage student and the 1 bedroom apartment fitted the bill perfectly with a pull out sofa bed in the sittingroom. The small gally kitchen had a dishwasher, good sized fridge, 2 ring hob and small oven / microwave with plenty of delph and cutlery - perfect for what we needed. There is a Tesco express a few minutes walk away and the Edgware Rd Tube Station is 5 minutes away (even nearer than Paddington station) making it very easy to get to any part of the city. The area around the Aparthotel is very quiet at night with lovely walks and seating areas beside the canal on your doorstep. There are some lovely bars and restaurants within a shot walk of the aparthotel. The staff were fantastic and there was no problem leaving our bags after check-out in their secure luggage area for collection later that day. I highly recommend this accomodation and can't wait to return on our next visit.

Hi, it should be around 15 or 20 pounds per cleaning, I am not sure of that; they clean on the 4th day and every seventh day from there for a long stay.

Our room had a hair drier. You will need a couple of UK adapters. Our room was small but efficiently designed.
