HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

We stayed 4 nights and would recommend this hotel. The Natural History Museum and V&A are within walking distance as are several eating options. As someone who doesn't like using the Tube the location was perfect as we could get buses in Cromwell Road or Kensington High Street and on the occasions we needed to use a taxi the receptionist...

I stay in London quite a lot so i am aware that room sizes are small but this hotel pushes that to the limit. I only stayed one night, beyond that i think i would have looked for another option. On a plus side the staff were friendly and breakfast wasn't bad.

Stayed here for 4 nights. A little regret about the noise generated by the opening and closing of the doors of the rooms. The staff is lovely and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, a bit off the center of london, but not too much.

I couldnt even roll my luggage through the tight space between the bed and the wall. Had to rise it over the bed to be able to find a space where I could open the case. Horrible views of the back of the building. In synchrony with the room size, small bathroom, but at least it had a tub. Climatizer...

Impressed by the staff, especially the flexibility shown by arriving early at the hotel and the genuine care shown in trying to accomodate me. The hotel itself is modern and very clean. The rooms depending on the category chosen, can be spacious, and offer all the facilities standard to a 3 to 4 star hotel. Breakfast offering is fantastic showcasing...

I have stayed at this recently re-branded to Mercure hotel for 10+ years. Since being part of the Accor group both the quality and standard has improved to a level that is value for money and for London: spacious rooms, en-suite bathroom not only as a marketing tool, good bed and bedding and breakfast. Staff is proffesional, accomodating and above...

Booked through "Roomforday" to stay during night work. Over-priced for what I can get in London for much better standard. Given very small double room on top floor. The curtains didn't exclude the light as they stopped short just under the window. Contractors were working on the roof above me, banging and swearing, so couldn't initially get any sleep. When...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
