The hotel is on the Cromwell Road about ten to fifteen minutes walk from Gloucester Road tube station. The rooms are comfortable and quiet in spite of the fact it's on the Cromwell Road. Bathrooms as clean and well appointed. I liked the Nespresso machine and the free soft drinks in the fridge. Staff friendly and efficient and breakfast good.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

This hotel punches well above its weight. It’s like they took my list of things that really annoy me about hotels and made sure none of them were present. I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. Firstly, it’s not silly money for the location. That got me there in the first place and it exceeded my expectations in every respect....

Mercure Standard on nice location. Very small rooms that could need an update. Noise from the hallway because the room door did not close tight. Ok breakfast and polite service. Close to two tube stations.

The hotel location is good for gloceries and restaurant. The only set back is next to hospital, so expect the emergency vehicle coming in and out any time of the day. The room is consider sufficient with it size and it is clean and tidy all the time. Good stay and just 10 minutes from underground.

This Hotel, is below the standard of other Mercure hotels. I would not stay at it any more. The internet failed several times during the day, and this is a problem when you are in a business trip and need to use the internet. The heating at my room was not working as well. The food served at the hotel...

Someone asked me, 'what's the hotel like?' I said, 'it's fine.' Stayed in Mercure hotels many times, some better than this one, some a lot worse, hence 'it's fine.' The fine bits: We had a privilege room. Complimentary soft drinks and mineral water. Free mobile phone to use. Never seen that before. Very nice if you haven't got one. Nespresso...

Pleasant and comfortable hotel, close to Gloucester Road and Earls Court Underground stations. The usual good quality Mercure Privilege Room. Bar area was pleasant and the breakfast was of a good quality. Check-in/out very efficient. Would stay again if I was looking for a West End location

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
