On our arrival we were greeted by the receipt ion staff who explained everything about our stay. Bedroom just as I would have expected it, clean and well presented. Overall cleanliness was excellent. The hotel was situated in a quiet situation even though it was on a main road.

Was in good position for public transport ,both tube and buses . Also central London was very accessible on foot . Only concern was the area ,as two females did feel a bit uncomfortable going back to...

My wife and I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn London Whitechapel for three nights at the end of a holiday/family visit to the UK. The staff was very friendly and helpful at check in and throughout the stay. The receptionist was especially helpful with transportation and when we explained what we planned to do, she recommended purchasing an Oyster...

A hotel I reluctantly decided to go to after my city hotel decided to up their prices by over 30%. First impression over the location was also rather bleak, but once entered the hotel, I was really pleasantly surprised by its staff and accommodation, more so than I have ever been by any other Holiday Inn, and I've seen a...

I regularly stay in this hotel for business but last week was my first time staying with my better half. As always, the staff were beyond excellent. Every one of them always makes an effort to make you feel welcome and I see them doing this for everyone - not just the regulars like me. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. For...

Rooms are well appointed and roomy with good space to move around. As a new hotel all elements are in good condition. Hotel is close to both DLR (shadwell) & Tube (Whitechapel) with bus stops right in front. Local surrounds don't offer much (although McDonalds and Iceland are within a short walk) however a 10min walk opens up more options...

We spent 3 nights here, was close to Shadwell tube, not many restaurants around so we ate in Londan. Rooms were clean, big for Europe, staff was very helpful. Mattresses a bit on the harder side--- we prefer softer:) Overall, affordable and comfortable.

Good hotel, close to Shadwell DLR, so easy to get to the City. I look at this hotel often and stay occasionally - when prices are low. New, clean, and I've found the staff to be really friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Extremely helpful staff. The only drawback was the location. The hotel is near a subway station / London light rail station but a little further out of the enter ofLondon. Meal service is fantastic especially the included breakfast buffet. The staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. They are very well trained .

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
