I've came here because a friend told me this is the best place in the surrounding, and i have to agree. The place is amazing, clean and beautiful, and the owner, julian, is very nice and helpful. Love this place, and i'll come again as soon as i can

This was a lovely Inn. Tucked away in the an up and coming area of East London. The rooms were extremely comfortable...the bathtub was big and inviting. Free wifi, nice breakfast in a spacious drawing room all decked out for Christmas. The Inn keeper also gave a great suggestion for lunch at a historical pub at the Prospect of Whitby....

The Bed and Breakfast is only a 5 minute walk from Shadwell DLR and it only took about 25 minutes to get to Kings Cross station on the underground. We were warmly greeted by the owner Julian and shown to the two rooms we had booked on the first floor. Both rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, well equipped and quiet...

We found this place from reviews in the Telegraph and it was great. Lots of stripped pine and pieces of sculpture around the place. If you want a plastic impersonal place this is not it. Breakfast a little limited but still adequate and as much good tea and coffee as you like. Eggs sit in antique egg coddler and guests...

We chose Cable Street Inn based on the reviews and because we wanted to see something new in London (this being our 8th trip to London). We were not disappointed. It may not be as central as some places, but we loved the neighborhood and found it easy to walk there to and from many major sites. A bus stops...

Cable Street Inn is just down the block from the DLR and Overground station in the East End. Consequently, the inn is quiet but provided easy access to anywhere we wanted to visit. The Inn was pretty, a bit quirky (restored old tavern), clean, and comfortable. Our room was on the 2nd floor- king bed, table and large chair, TV,...

We spent a full week at Cable Street Inn, parents plus a 13-year old son. We were looking for a small structure with a "twist" and a bit off the beaten track. The Cable Street Inn was just perfect, very different to central London and yet so close; cosy, very very clean, very English. Absolutely no street noise for a...

We picked this Inn for the location, closest to our objective. Also, a short walk to public transit. The inn has a lot of character. View of green garden outside of window and on terrace. The first night the room was cold. Our room did not have any temperature control. But the second night was fine. The bathroom was old...

I am sorry your stay did not live up to all your expectations. We do have some original bathroom fittings and door locks etc. The original features and historic fabric of the building is what our guests generally find appealing and what sets us apart. We don’t have AC but there is a state of the art hot water and...

Needed to stay in London to ensure a early appointment was not missed. Found this hotel on the internet after checking postcode location. Very comfortable and quiet. Julian was very helpful and there was plenty of teat and coffee available in the dining room. Breakfast was continental and plenty of it. I travelled by train and the hotel is about...

Julian was a gracious host with a lovely bed and breakfast in east London. Very quiet area close to overground train and taxi. Also very close to Tower of London and some very good restaurants. Bed is very comfortable and bath charming. Lovely upstairs deck with lovely views. I would certainly stay there again

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
