My main concerns when booking a hotel for a city trip are quietness, cleanliness and near public transportation. The Westbury quiet, clean and close to public transport, so all my wishes were fulfilled. The advantages: - it's a 5 minute walk from the underground station in a good neighbourhood, and the underground connects you to the center of London within...

Excellent hotel, with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Probably the best reception staff I've ever come across. I booked in to this hotel last minute after staying at a rather disgusting hotel also in Earls Court. And The Westbury Hotel was a million times better than the one I had just checked out from, although quite basic it was...

Most disappointing The room was not big enough for 1 adult let alone 3 No room for bags apart from on the beds Beds only big enough for people under 5 foot 5 Aeroplane toilets are bigger than the bathroom We had booked a room with 3 single beds and pre paid We were given the most ridiculous sized room...

This was my first time in London, I was not prepared for how small the room would be. The staff was pleasant; Catherine always greeted us cheerfully in the morning, and they helped us plan some of our activities. The breakfast room is extremely cramped with slim offerings. Very convenient to the Earls Court tube station on the Picadilly and...

I have been in Westbury Hotel from Friday till Monday. 1.I was in room 101 and I do not know but my room had walls made of paper, (I could clearly hear what where the other guests doing) if you know what I mean. 2. The breakfast was awful (I do not mind English brake fast) but for one day....

The room was one of the smallest I had ever been in. We had a twin room and we couldn't have both of our suitcases open at once as there was not enough floor space. The bathroom was also tiny. Although it was small, it was very clean, the breakfast was great and the reception staff were all extremely friendly....

Ok if you want a clean room, bedding and a shower as it's very small! Staff are hard working and polite and the location is very good as all the reviews state too. Picadilly line (Earls Court) is 5 minutes walk and this will be the only tube you'll need for Leicester Square, Picadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Kings Cross....

I stayed here with my family and from the beginning it was very bad. The room was dirty. At the walls you found dirty spot which looked like easy to clean. The quilts were dusty, there was a hole in each bed and there was no space to walk. The pillows were hard and in my bed there was a...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
