This is a modest hotel conviently located to Tube stations in Notting Hill. A little hard to find at first but the convenient location made the searching worthwhile. The hotel staff bent over backwards to help me with directions, suggestions for nearby restaurants, and overall directions. They got me into my room as soon as I got there, even though... More

The hotel is in a perfect place in Kensington Garden’s square, which is a peaceful and quiet but very convenient location. Notting Hill is just 15 minutes walk from the area and Hyde Park is only 5 minutes from the hotel. Also it is very close to the underground, i.e. you can reach the hotel after 5 minutes walk from... I really enjoyed my stay at the London House Hotel overall. It's not perfect by any means, but for the price, it's very nice. I stayed in a single room which was very small but comfortable and clean. I had no problems other than the fact there was construction going on which was a little irritating sometimes but not too... More

We arrived at the hotel during what we presumed was the final phase of the refurbishments prior to the 2012 London Summer Games. The hotel is situated in a pleasant, leafy area and is in a great location for easy access to Notting Hill and the West End – and in our opinion is as good a location as any... More

I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of July. I arrived much earlier than check-in so they gladly accepted my bags until later in the day. This hotel is in a great location - about a 5-minute walk from the Bayswater station. I had a single room/single bed facing the back. Yes, the rooms are small but perfectly... More

We stayed overnight at this hotel in the family room downstairs. The hotel was well located and suitable for our requirements. Unfortunately, there was a great deal of noise which sounded like furniture being moved from about 4.30 am until 7 am which disturbed us all. I am sure once the refurbishment programme is complete, it will be and ideal... More

Although this Hotel was very central for where we were visiting in London, the Quad room we stayed in was below the entrance Lobby to the hotel and was extremely noisy all through the night. Hotels in London really ARE expensive, that's why we were glad to find this nice place in such a good neighboorhoud AND affordable. Situated between Paddington and Kensington and close to the tube, the London House Hotel is the perfect place to stay if you stay in London for a couple of nights. Okay, the rooms are quite small (well,... More

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights from the 15th June 2012. Stayed for 1 night with my teenage daughter whilst visiting Wimbledon tennis. Very convenient central location, near to Kensington and Notting hill and underground tube. Rooms very clean and newly refurbished though basic and small. If you are looking for no frills hotel in a convenient location then this would fit the bill.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
