On going to London for the first time at the age of 51 we had booked this apartment through Booking.com. When we got to Leicester Sq we could not find our apartment, tried to ring the number we had from 2.40pm it was 3.09pm when the phone was answered by Alex to be told we had been put down as...

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Booked to stay at a different apartment that had been advertised through Booking.Com. Upon arrival, we were told (via phone - Alex) that we had been moved to these apartments (totally unlike the apartment we had originally booked). We had to take a taxi to get there. Upon arrival, we could not unlock the door (five...

We got a call from Alex from lifestyle lets . com an hour before leaving Paris to hop on our train to London to tell us that our apartment wasn't available because of electrical issues. The alternative was 'the glass house' on shaftsbury ave. It was tiny, cardboard separated bedrooms , filthy, rotten food under the couches, used towels and...

Do not book this apartment unless you want to feel disappointed and disgruntled. We paid upfront for a four star apartment and got a second rate flat due to 'water damage' at Villiers. Apartment 'upgrade' was a dated and filthy flat with used bedding and towels. Pretty much same story as other reviewers. Wish I had read TripAdvisor reviews first...

Booked and paid in advance, which limits power of protest! Allocated flat 5, 23a Villiers St. Air con didn't work, hot weather in London that week. Two bedrooms, tiny, separated by GLASS wall with blind! Portacot, no cot bedding (luckily we'd packed some), no high chair. Nowhere to put cot, had to put it in hallway. Washing machine didn't work...

There was "water-damage" at the Villers33 apartment and we were notified that we were being given alternate accommodation 2 hours before check-in. The alternate accommodation was a good walk away and having elderly parents with us that made things difficult. As we were being checked in, we noticed that the apartment was not ready for use and the two double...

The location is great but don't even think about sleeping. The noise is unbearable. My family was exhausted after spending sleepless nights here. There is a late night club across the street that makes it seem like you are staying in a riot zone. The AC and Internet stopped working and the management was extremely unhelpful.

I cannot believe I booked and paid 2 months in advance, spoke to them on a few occasions confirming everything and then received an email from ALEX at Villlers33 at 8.00pm on the evening before arrival to cancel my booking because I had failed to send them ID, I had no idea I had too... This gave me 24 hours...

This apartment had been booked paid for well in advance (months) but the evening prior to our stay the management company decided to cancel our booking. They had clearly over booked! Luckily our booking agent were fantastic and arranged another apartment after much stress and panic on our behalf (and goodness knows how much spent on phone calls to incompetent...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
