We had a trip planned to Ireland when I got tickets for a play in London, so we decided to tack on a few extra days to our trip and see London, but I didn't want it to cost a fortune since the majority of our budget was to go toward Ireland. However, this hotel was a great price and...

Attentive staff, warm and quiet well appointed room overlooking courtyard, easy to use shower, easy to use air con, free wifi, liked the fact that an iron and ironing board are provided in the room as well as the usual hair dryer, tea and coffee etc and mini bar, bath robes and slippers. An absolute find in the Law Courts area of London. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is in it's own courtyard area. Immaculate in every way - service, cleanliness and facilities. Fabulous huge comfortable bed, gorgeous sheets, duvet and pillows, super bathroom with seperate shower wetroom with power shower. And not a sound from the...

Stayed 4 nights, the rooms are very quiet. The neighborhood on weekends tends to be dead as it is the business district. It is a 10 minute walk to the first of the Theaters down Fleet Street. Cabs can be picked up right out front and quite easily. I didn't use much of the hotel but the rooms are very...

What a great hotel this is. Tucked away down a side street it was a little tricky to find, however, everything made up for that. Staff are polite, friendly and attentive. My room was very comfortable - spacious, clean and well equipped. Breakfast was to a high standard. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and i will definitely stay again.

Had a great stay for my wife's birthday, the hand written Birthday wishes from the staff was a nice touch. Located in Fleet Street, it was only 20 mins walk from the theatres. Everyone was very helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
