After a 30hours travel+transit from NZ, some pick up issues by the airport transfer company, the heavy traffic at peak hours, the warm welcome given by Antoinella at the reception managed to make us forget all of the tiredness/unhappiness.

We found it ideal for a short break in London to go to a West End show. Simple facilities that provided all that was needed for an overnight stay. Well decorated hotel, comfortable beds, spotlessly clean and a good continental breakfast with cereal, breads, crumpets,...More
Nice family hotel in a great location. Nice room and clean, great shower and good breakfast. We chose this hotel because it offered a room for a family of four in a great location just round the corner from Pimlico tube station.
Charming hotel. It's very near to the Victoria Station. It's possible arrived at Trafalgal square in 10 min. by bus. The bus-stop number 24 is closed to the hotel. The Pimliko subway is 3 min. on food from the hotel too. Hotel staff are very...More

Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

Many thanks for your enquiry and if you wish to come by tube, the cheapest way to travel in London is using an Oyster Card which is a contactless card that you have to tap in and off of the tube and offer you better value that the day travel card. To rent an Oyster Card, you can ask at the tube station assistance at Heathrow Terminal and there is GBP5.00 deposit which you can have back when you leave along with the residual in you card. You can just charge for pay as you go to use the capping. Capping is a feature of pay as you go which allows you to make a number of journeys in a single day but limits the amount you pay for your travel. Each time you make a journey, you are charged a fare. Once the total cost of all your fares reaches a certain amount you won't have to pay for any more journeys for the rest of the day. This is called a cap and the cost is GBP8.80 for zone 1-6 (as you are at Heathrow). From Heathrow then you can take the Piccadilly Line (blue line) and change at Green Park for the Victoria Line (light blue line) and stop at Pimlico for a journey of 40-45 mins roughly.
