Have stayed here on two occasions, business, and weekend break. Excellent location. Clean and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money, does exactly what it says on the tin. Will be back

I stayed here for one night as at a concert at the Royal Albert Hall,as the price was reasonable. The hotel upgraded me from a single to a double free of charge and the room was comfortable and quiet. A few points to note there is no bar or restaurant , breakfast was continental and delivered to outside my room...

I chose the Brompton Hotel for its very convenient location opposite the South Kensington tube station and for it's no-frills low cost rates. I stayed there twice within 2-weeks and on the first occasion was given a room on the first floor which made it easy to come and go. On my second visit I was given a room on...

Although located in south Kensington, this is not the best of hotels but it does fall into the budget price range. The hotel and rooms are out of date and in need of a serious 're vamp. And why would you put a microwave in a hotel bedroom

Simply terrible. Cold toast and an egg left at door for breakfast (only option)! Windows without latch, very dated decor and building ! So many stairs to climb. Staff unhelpful. Only positive is it is very close to tube station.

Stayed here for one night. Great location but the bed was lumpy and pillows very thin. There is no lift and we were on the top floor. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The egg was hard, the coffee terrible and toast had little butter with it. Not a lot for your money here!

We stayed in this hotel due to its handy location near South Kensington tube station. Unfortunately the decor is dated & in need of repair as well as re-decoration as the door hinge in our room was broken as were the bathroom floor tiles. There is no dining area so breakfast consisting of tea/coffee, fruit juice and a boiled egg...

I booked this hotel for the price really! It's just so expensive to stay in London. Although I still wouldn't say this hotel was particularly cheap. I Needed a hotel near a function we were attending. The hotel is right next door to the tube station!! Easy access and plenty of eating places in the vicinity. The hotel... I must...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
