We were warmly welcomed by Darren and other staff. What we appreciated was the helpful suggestions and maps we received from Darren when we were unsure of various tourist site locations. The room was small but always clean - perfect for our needs as we were out the entire day and only returned late in the evenings! Was a new...

We were looking for a nice little hotel in London which would not be too expensive. The Jesmond Dene was a really good choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The only thing which could be improved in my opinion is the common shower on the top flour. It is a very small and the "plastic" look...

If you want a comfortable, clean base for exploring London, this small hotel two minutes from Kings Cross/St Pancras is ideal. Don't expect the luxury of large rooms, expensive toiletries or an extensive choice of breakfasts. Do expect friendly, helpful service at a price that's hard to beat so close to central London.

A lovely small B+B about one block from the Kings Cross/St. Pancras station. The Hotel is on a block filled with other small B+Bs. My sole critical comment is that even though the Jesmond Dene is on a quiet street, it can get noisy at night with other tourists at the neighboring hotels. If you want a comfortable room, and...

Stayed for 3 nights from May 25th to May 28th. I picked it because of it's proximity to the nearby train stations (King's Cross) and the British library (about a 5 minute walk). The rooms are amazingly clean and very modern (if a touch on the small side compared with North American standards, but I am told that is quite...

The Jesmond Dene is in an excellent location less than one block from the Kings Cross/St. Pancras station. It is a straight shot from Heathrow Airport on the Piccadilly line, which only costs less than $2.00 in non-peak time and about $5.00 in peak time (before 9:30 a.m.). The station also includes the Eurostar, which makes it very easy for...

Doesn't make a great impression from the outset, but the rooms are extremely well kept with a sink area and mirror outside of bathroom, along with shower, toilet and sink in a small but manageable bathroom. Always had warm showers and plenty of clean towels. Stayed in a family room which consisted of 1 double bed and 2 singles. Layout...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
