We ended up at this hotel by default. We had booked the sister hotel ABC Hyde Park on arrival we were told they only had one room for one member of our party and the rest of us would have to stay at the Classic Hotel. We were given a family room....one double bed and two singles. No space at...

Me and wife were in London for a short trip only, two nights, so we needed somewhere cheap but central, i.e. easy access to shops and sights and easy for getting to and from the airport without changing trains or underground. Having read the previous reviews - after I had booked, of course - I was not expecting anything particularly...

Excellent location only five minutes walk to Paddington Station and easy walk to Marble Arch, Hyde Park and Oxford Street. Convenient enough to wander back for an afternoon nap before taking in a live show at West End. The Classic's two star rating was within my expectations of a clean quiet room with a tariff that was value for money....

Upon entering, they were renovating and building materials were everywhere. The place seemed half built. The room had been recently renovated and was lovely (although a hole in the wall next to a power socket was worrying). There was no signage up for fire escape routes and we were given a downstairs room with a barred window and no escape...

Called the day before to let them know when we were suppose to arrive at their hotel. When we arrived there was a renovation going on...dust everywhere and the receptionist was bleeding when taking care of us..we checked in and then we had to wait out on the street for more than 30 minutes to get our room... Breakfast OK,...

Classic Hotel............ Service was good. All staff polite and helpful. The room as the rest of the hotel was dated. The wallpaper was old and dirty. There were places were it was pealing off the walls. Our bedspread was old and stained. The TV was teeny tiny and the quality of the pictures was terrible. All but one channel (out...

Although the decor of the hotel was a little outdated we found the quietness of our room and friendliness of staff to be outstanding. My suitcase was also carried up two flights of stairs by staff. I mentiioned in email at time of booking that I was unable to carry my suitcase up stairs and I did not have to...

It was disgusting. Anyone who says otherwise must have very low expectations. We made a booking through Laterooms.com on the 5th June to stay two nights at the ABC Hyde Park. Great website and recently refurbished. Imagine our surprise when we arrived to check in and were told the hotel was full with other guests and we would be put...

Very good - for what you are paying. This is a clean, comfortable & very basic hotel. The location is good and it's convenient to train and tube travel. Rooms are small and there is no lift (elevator) so staying on the 4th floor is a chore. There must be either new owners or manager because while we booked it...
