The hotel is a bit distant from Central London and from tube. The hotel says that they have a shuttle running between the tube and the hotel. But it took 22 minutes from the time I called the hotel to the time when I see the shuttle. Does it take that long usually?

Yes the hotel is awkward to get to when walking however, it is also served by a good bus network to Brent cross shopping centre. The hotel is not far from a busy intersection as another contributor confirmed limited footpaths. There is however a foot bridge connecting. Its a good location for many reasons.
