So I came back after 10 months and my opinion didn´t change: this is the best value for money in London. I had a room on the ground floor (reception level) and I was worried about the noise: surprise I DIDN´T HAVE any problems with noise. The ensuite bathroom can be small yes...if that bugs you you can use the... More

I feel compelled to write in as a result of the review i've seen thats headed "Complete Rubbish". i think that the review is , in fact, completely unfair and gives a totally wrong impression of... Well run, with caring people, the George became a home away from home for me. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn't need luxury but who does need comfort, cleanliness and a friendly environment. I miss the English breakfasts!

we stayed in the triple room down stairs, my disabled mother and us had tto hegotiate a flight of old stairs with no hand rail along with our bags. We are very sorry that this guest was unhappy with his stay but his problem stemmed mainly from the that fact that one of the ladies sharing his room was an invalid and had a problem with stairs and his demand for a full refund at check-out wasn't accepted. The first page of our website clearly states that we don't... More

The George Hotel was acceptable mainly because of it's walking distance to the tube. The breakfast which was included was decent also but we stayed in the basement room (triple) & I wasn't crazy about that. People walking down the street were practically in our room.

I just returned to the States after staying at the George for a total of three days. Because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent complimentary breakfasts, not to mention the excellent location that enabled me to walk just about everywhere I wanted in central London, those three days were some of the best in my life.

I stayed in... More

My wife and I stayed at a hotel nearby the George several years ago. We loved the Bloomsbury location and I was hoping to stay at the same place this time. As it was booked up I stayed at the George and was very happy. The staff was excellent and the service and accommodations were very good as well. The... More

It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
