First a little about the hotel. It belongs to a brewery, so the pub downstairs is attached. I got a free pint as part of being a guest - Nice touch. Plus'es: Room was clean, with coffee/tea. Bathroom was pretty large with a shower and tub. Bed was comfy. Internet speed was decent and included as part of my rate.... More

We are already planning another visit. Still so much more to explore. If all rooms are as comfortable as the room we stayed in we will be very happy. Our next visit will probably be a family trip as there was so much for older children to enjoy.

Breakfast was ok. I expected more choices and fresh fruit. The facilities inside the room were good, but the service was bad. Upon arrival the guy who helped us check in was very rude. He let us wait, while he was just sorting his papers. He did that a few times during our stay, simply letting us wait without a... More

Was delighted completely with my stay at The Chamberlain. From fantastic service to wonderful, spacious luxurious rooms, very comfortable beds and linens, to convenience in terms of being on the go with Tower Station and The Tower a 5 min walk away, can highly recommend.

Good location very close to Minories car park and St Katherine's dock. We had booked through Booking.com and pre-paid the room. We were delighted with the roof terrace room. Lovely decor and nice touch with the nespresso machine and wireless speaker. The gloss was taken off though when, being only two of around eight customers in the expansive bar at... More

We stayed here during a busy weekend visiting Hyde Park Winter Wonderland. Perfectly located for the Circle line and access all around London. The service was second to none from arrival to departure. Every little detail was thought about in order to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
