I chose this hotel based on my needs..cost and close to train station and within walking distance of attractions. First time I ever stayed in basement room. For the three of us, the room was quite small and couldn't move comfortably, although it was clean....More
Hard to beat for value, location and helpfulness of staff. In the heart of the city, very close to coach, rail and tube transport as well as daytour departure locations, eateries, phone shops and supermarket. Some rooms are quite small, though all are spotlessly clean...More

United Kingdom > England > London > Pimlico / Victoria
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

St. George's Tavern has good food. I took my 15 year old granddaughter there three times during our week staying at the Comfort Inn. Just go around the corner to the left and walk up High Street to the corner. Go downstairs to eat. The bar is crowded and noisy on the main floor. There are several convenience stores on Buckingham Palace Road on the way to Victoria Station.
