The deal gave us a 3-course in dinner, bed and breakfast and a bottle of wine in our room. The whole experience was very enjoyable, we were treated very well, staff were polite and helpful. Choice of dinner was limited but very nice, bottle of wine was lovely. A lovely stay, would recommend this hotel.

Not much change since my last review of Devonport in 2015 but for me they have dropped from 4/5 to 3/5. All staff you meet are always very polite, very proper and good at their jobs - and of course a mention to Atherton for always making breakfast more than memorable. If Greenwich is your weekend destination then Devonport House...

We were going to a exhibition in London but wanted to see the sights of Greenwich so we booked into this hotel. The hotel is within the grounds of the Royal Naval College next door to the National Maritime Museum. So it is well placed for the sights of Greenwich, National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory and Greenwich park,...

We booked two nights in the hotel to attend a family wedding. We arrived just after three and our rooms were ready immediately, even thought some of our family had arrived just after two and were told their rooms had not been cleaned yet! ( check in is advertised as 2pm) This was just a little niggle as I could...

We stayed at the De Vere Devonport for one night on the Travelzoo offer which proved excellent value. However excluding this offer, a review of the hotel details a well appointed hotel in an excellent location for visiting Greenwich. First other reviewers commented on difficulty on locating the hotel if driving and using a satnav. If coming from the east...

Although using a Satnav finding the entrance to the hotel was difficult as it took us to the front of the hotel and we could not find our way in and ended up with one of us going in and asking. It might be useful to put a diagram on the website. Once in we found a parking place and...

Was in town just for the night, front desk staff was great. Had a problem on arrival and they worked to fix the issue. Room was nice, bed seemed comfortable, but since I hadn't slept for over 24 hrs anything would have been comfortable. Only down fall was the restaurant opened for breakfast at 7:30. I was gone before 7am.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
