We really like this hotel and have used it on a couple of occasions whilst visiting family who live in Greenwich. The hotel is very central and with car parking facilities(reasonably priced) it's ideal. The room we stayed in this time was a really good size, large TV , wardrobe, iron and board, hairdryer etc. The bathroom was lovely, bath...

I found this place a bit hit and miss, would look for somewhere else to stay first, and if nothing great was available I would stay again. Arrived and checked in, I found the Spanish (I believe) receptionist very rude, wouldn’t look at me, and would talk over me. Got to our room and it was a joke, we booked...

My wife, Myself and our 10 year old daughter had a two night stay including breakfast and Dinner at Devonport House in August. The location to everything we wanted to do was excellent, walking distance to the DLR or River Boats, the Cutty Sark and the Observatory at Greenwich were right on the door step, almost literally. The Restaurant and...

The service is great! We go back every year and look forward to seeing the same friendly, helpful staff. They remember us each year and always go out of their way to take care of us. There is a very nice lounge and bar, and the food is amazing!

This hotel is ok but a bit tired. Many of the fittings in the room were loose or missing - like the shower fittings, door stops etc. It's not the cleanest of hotels with some mould in the bathroom (the extractor didn't seem to work), there was heavy dust on the door hinges etc. The bathroom sink was very small...

We have used this hotel for business events once or twice a year and stay over at times for the past 8 years. The staff are helpful and some entertaining. The rooms are fine, clean, modern and spacious. The location is right in the centre of Greenwich with transport in easy reach and nice outside area. The only disappointment is...

This is an excellent location to explore the maritime history of Greenwich. The room was comfortable and clean but in need of some refurbishment. Public areas of the hotel are very nice but the bedrooms definitely need a good refurb! The hotel is situated a good, fairly central location with easy access to all areas of London. The breakfast was very good with a large choice of food.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
