Arrived on an overseas flight at 0630h, took the Heathrow Express to Paddington at 0715, arrived at hotel at 0800h. Staff were top notch and stowed our baggage while we went off in search of food and a walk to keep ourselves awake. Hotel is centrally located for transit (Tube is about a 3 min walk to Barbican), and about...

We stayed here for one night and wished it had been longer as our room was lovely. The hotel seems a little out of the way, but it is quiet - a bit unusual for London! The bedrooms are modern with some lovely design details and a sense of humour with the cosmetics and whether you would take them home!...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
