The Clarendon Hotel offers good facilities and friendly and efficient staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Loved the view over Blackheath from our windows. Also really appreciated the surprise of finding chocolates and a birthday balloon when we came back in from seeing family on my birthday :)

Stayed here for an event at the O2. You couldn't get anything better closer if you tried. Fantastic helpful staff and brilliant breakfast. Suite was excellent and nothing too much trouble. Also handy location for London tourist spots.

Very good location with easy access to docklands, city of london and west end. Didn't take meals here but breakfast was excellent with wide range of choice all very well presented. Rooms were spotlessly clean although some furniture a little tired looking and old fashioned. Public spaces were excellently decorated and comfortable for visitors. For london the price is good...

Overall it's a quite nice hotel, but the bathroom needed some TLC. We had a room with four single beds so of course it got a bit tight, but still room to move. The wall to wall carpet had some stains but it's not a big deal. The staff where nice and welcoming.

We stayed at The Clarendon last year and thoroughly loved it. The location is superb, being in the heart of London, seeing Canary Wharf not too far away but there being so much green space around, it's so tranquil. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful, the hotel decor is attractive too. As we had a lovely time last year...

Overall a good hotel, friendly staff, evening meal was excellent, buffet breakfast was good and plentiful. The bedroom we had was tired, and could do with a makeover, including the lock on the bathroom door which was dodgy at times.

Dear Hemham - Thank you for your review. So pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with your children. Did you go to the local village pond near the pub and sail a boat (I did when i was young)

This delightfully situated and elegant hotel combines up-to-the-minute efficiency with an ample smattering of retro charm. Real keys for the rooms, instead of the usual plastic things that get de-activated by mobiles. A mature Italian waiter who whistles softly and jokes with customers about the terrible service. Spotlessly clean rooms, friendly and obliging reception staff and wonderfully speedy wifi. A...
