As other reviewers note this is not a hotel (although better than many I have stayed in, paying significantly more and purporting to offer more too) and this does affect the offering. This said, the Imperial College experience is pretty hard to beat in its class. It's a safe environment, helpful and experienced staff, great location, modern rooms with working...

My wife and I spent 3 nights here at the end of August and were quite impressed. The rooms are actually halls of residence for the Imperial College which are used as a hotel during the summer. The rooms are smaller than we expected and had no TV, but we didn't spend much time in the room, so this was...

For the price and in London this accommodation really can't be beaten. If you want luxury it isn't for you but if you just need a base in the heart of London then it definitely would be perfect for you. Lovely courtyard garden, good shower, short walk to the Victoria & Albert and Natural History Museums, Hyde/Kensington Park/Gardens, Royal Albert...

Stayed for our honeymoon for 4N in a double bed room – spacious, clean, not air-conditioned but does provide 2 table fans (does help circulating the air in room), decent size of windows for fresh air. Bathroom is not very clean but acceptable, disposable bath mat provided doesn’t really help much when stepping out of shower. Breakfast is provided in...

My sister & I stayed here for the August Bank Holiday weekend in Pembridge Gardens off Bayswater Road in Notting Hill. The price for the 3 days sounded too good to be true especially with the carnival happening. On first arrival, the area looked so beautiful. As first timers to London, we were impressed. We checked in & the guy...

Have stayed on consecutive weeks in different parts of Imperials accommodation, Clean, quiet, perfect. Breakfast is huge. 100 yards from Albert Hall for £51 B+B per night, unbeatable. Check in swift and efficient. Rooms quite warm but a fan is provided and was effective. Have stayed in much more expensive box room rip offs

Staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was pleasant with desk and kettle and a good sized bathroom. The breakfast was good and the use of the pool and other facilities was a bonus. There wasn't a TV but I didn't miss this. Convenient location, particularly for three museums, the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park, and near to public transport....

This accommodation is not to be confused with a hotel! Small rooms, shocking bed, and canteen breakfast. I have backpacked around the globe and had much more comfort for a fraction of the price than I experienced here! When you spend over 120 pounds on a room expect a reasonable degree of comfort, a bed you can sleep in and...

There is no tv, refrigerator or ar conditioning into the room, but the room is still nice. The internet does not work very well. The location is good. There are restaurants and museums very close and also the underground station.

Good Location / Room: Given the price one pays to be staying in South Kensington, Princes Gardens is a pretty reasonable deal. Our twin room, which we stayed for 22 nights was small yet cosy. It has average facilities. Do note the walls are somewhat thin and you can hear your neighbors if they get a little noisy. But this...

Neighbourhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.
