Although the rooms were a little small this was made up for by the decor and the friendliness of the staff . if you do happen to stay here during the summer make sure you enjoy their breakfast out on the terrace

Wife and I stayed for long weekend whilst attending Olympics. Lovely Townhouse in good location and simple to connect to underground system at Farringdon. Food was good, the townhouse bar a great wee experience and loved the quirky clubhouse atmosphere. Our only quibble was that the four poster bed was very small for 2 people. Also, lack of storage for... More

I have stayed here as my London hotel of choice for both business and leisure for some years now and have always been very satisfied as I really like the informal non stuffy but professional atmosphere and service with some really great rooms. I use the roof top rooms mostly which are expensive but in my opinion are well worth... More

Fun and funky hotel with perfect location for work / play in Farringdon / Clerkenwell. Fantastic breakfast...both in terms of food and mini garden terrace to welcome in the day with the sun, a newspaper and watching the world go by. On the down side the rooms are very small.

Stayed 3 nights in a superior room at the townhouse and had a great time. Overall we preferred it to a previous stay in the hotel part of the operation across the square although that was good too, but the townhouse has a more intimate and clubby style. Very warm and helpful welcome when we arrived, great room with a... More

I booked this hotel for two nights on a business trip via Spendia!! Ended up paying nearly £500 for two nights which for a top room was ok for London prices? Breakfast was supposed to included? The rooms are supposed to be a bit quirky & modern which I like, although I found the furnishings no better than Ikea. The... More

I stayed at the Zetter Townhouse, quite a while ago now and having been meaning to write this review for a long time. We went on a spring break promotion, midweek and for one night only. Dinner in the bistro was included in the price. The townhouse was amazing, quirky, stylish and the staff were also fantastic, they upgraded us... More

Lovely Hotel - very modern, clean and friendly staff - I was surprised to read other reviews about the lack of a reception desk as the entrance to the reception is around the side of the building and always manned during our stay (also accessible through the Bistrot) - on the downside we had a superior double room which has... The Zetter Townhouse should be reviewed separately. Apart from the ownership and the close proximity to its sister hotel, it's a whole different experience. The Townhouse as only 13 rooms, which means that the service level is something completely different compared to The Zetter. In the latter, there are vending machines next to the elevators instead of minibars and guests... More

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
