Nestled in a coveted location, the London Marriott Hotel Canary Wharf is celebrated by guests for its easy access to the city and nearby conveniences. The hotel's staff receives accolades for their friendliness, although occasional service hiccups are noted. While the rooms are recognized for their cleanliness and space, some guests suggest they could benefit from modern updates and attention to maintenance.
The amenities, including a diverse breakfast selection and executive lounge, are generally well-regarded, though opinions on value for money vary. The overall atmosphere, with its bustling bar and inviting suites, is a highlight for many visitors.

Detailed Reviews
I booked our London stay as a birthday treat and the staff really made our stay. They were so welcoming, from reception, to bar staff, to cleaners, each one made us feel at home. Other hotels could take a leaf from their book when it comes to customer service. We arrived Monday as we knew it would be quieter and we were generously given a room upgrade and some lovely chocolates to celebrate my birthday.
The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable with a great view of the waterside. I loved the robes and slippers in our room. The only small niggle was that the air-con didn't work very well but to be fair, it was the hottest day of the year! The bed was luxurious and I loved the pillows and crisp sheets. I absolutely loved our stay here, breakfast was gorgeous, really fresh and tasty with lots of choice. The bar was so nice and relaxing with lovely views outside too. Again, a mention to the bar staff who were so nice and gave great service. Location was perfect, we used the Uber boat a lot to go back and forth into different parts of London. The pier is no distance from the hotel and it cost me £7 to go to the Tower of London from there, rather than £30 in an Uber taxi. It was so nice to be on the water instead of a stuffy tube on such a hot day. It was a pleasure to come back to Canary Wharf after being in noisy London as it was much quieter there. I will definitely be rebooking another stay soon, for longer next time. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a really interesting part of London Docklands, looking over the West India Quay on one side and towards Poplar on the other. Lots of bars and restaurants locally and well served for transport links.
Check in was easy, made even more so by the wonderful Frida, who could not have been more attentive and helpful. She not only found us rooms before the check in time but upgraded us to bigger ones, then provided us with maps, explanations of the area and even took us to the lifts. The next day she was anxious to know if we’d had a good time, did we want to leave luggage, need some water etc. In fact all the employees we met were utterly charming, enthusiastic and seemed to really enjoy their work. Ditto for the bar staff (amazing cocktails and unbelievable range of gins) and restaurant staff. Breakfast booked in advance cost £15 & was the best I’ve had in any London hotel. Custom-cooked omelettes and cava to name 2 reasons!
The room was very clean, spacious and well appointed. Good range of toiletries and facilities in the room, my only criticism would be that the shower over the bath was not especially powerful. But the temperature was easy to regulate and the bed very comfortable.
I would definitely return to this hotel and the area (even if I will never understand my way around Canary Wharf!) and want to stress how well run it seemed to be. The staff are exceptionally well trained in customer relations and seemed to be very happy in their work, all of which made it a very welcoming environment.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, we return time and time again as we love the exceptional customer service from arrival through to departure. We stay in lot’s of hotels and eat out in a lot of different restaurants, there is plenty to choose from however, we return time and time again to this hotel so this in itself speaks volumes.
A very nice welcome from Miguel on reception, who explained all the new procedures, Covid-proofing was good, the tables were all spaced out they had sanitisers everywhere and all the door locks and lifts had been converted to wireless so there was no need to touch anything. All the staff were wearing masks, we were very happy to see guests being reminded to put their masks on whilst moving around the hotel. We felt safe knowing that this hotel was following all the current guidelines to keep both the staff and customers as safe as possible.
It was also very nice seeing the Managers so hands on and getting very involved and regardless of the mask wearing and restrictions, there was a very happy relaxed atmosphere throughout the hotel.
Our room and en-suite bathroom had everything we needed, we had lovely Quayside views.
The food in the hotel was amazing cooked fresh to order by Mr Chef, who served delicious pancakes. The executive level menu is good and varied now served in a relaxed area on the ground floor. We were more than happy after a long day shopping, to spend time relaxing in this area with nibbles and drinks all served at our table by the friendly bar staff, all of whom were genuinely pleased to see us each evening. They were kept busy but they still found the time to take great care of us and the other guests. Mike in the bar really did stand out, he has amazing customer service skills and makes guests feel welcomed and relaxed this truly touched us as it just seemed so personal and kind. We were more than happy to spend time to chat with all of the staff who were very friendly in the Executive lounge bar/restaurant.
Moesio in the Restaurant, again a super star with great customer service skills, he welcomed us for breakfast each morning with a great smile and could not do enough for all the guests who walked in to be looked after.
Miguel on reception who greeted us on arrival kept popping in to make sure we were being looked after, he really is a great person to work at the Marriott.
A huge thank to Debosri who organised our stay and made this incredibly special for our daughters birthday. Its wonderful to have such a dedicated team who make all the guests feel welcomed and relaxed which makes us want to return time and time again.
We have travelled and stayed in numerous hotels throughout the country but the staff at this hotel are incredible, simply the best we have ever encountered.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone
and hope to return ourselves once again in November this year.

Stayed for 2 nights Jan 22 for a London break celebrating my Fiancee's 50th Birthday.
Our early check-in request (12:30) was observed and actioned which gave us more time to discover the Wharf. We were greeted by the doorman who took our luggage whilst i parked the car in the nearby SABA car park (5 min walk). Car parking was booked prior through ParkBee. A £16 saving over 2 days than if we had booked directly through SABA's own website! Very easy parking and entrance/exit barriers controlled through a weblink.
Check-in at the hotel was fine but the young lady who dealt with us had a large stain (looked like gravy?) down her white blouse which seemed quite offputting as this member of staff is the face of the hotel and should have standards to suit.
We ventured to our room and our luggage was brought up in a timely manner.
I mentioned this was a birthday treat prior to arrival and we had a couple of small bottles of Prosecco and a selection of sweet treats waiting for us in our room which was a nice touch.
Room was of a good standard and Quayside on the 8th floor. Very clean and quite roomy. We did have to complain to reception as some things were missing. i.e, we only had 1 bathrobe, 1x pair slippers and 1 each of the toiletries. Basically the room had been made up for 1 x guest. We were told this would be actioned but when we returned some hours later we had to call down again to reception. Toiletries did finally arrive but the remaining missing items did not turn up until the room was services the following day. Not really acceptable for a hotel of this standard.
The main restaurant currently only serves breakfast so if you're hungry and looking for an evening meal you will need to have a little wander. The good thing is though, there are plenty of great restaurant and bars close by to choose from. We would recommend 'Ivy in the Park' (10 min walk) and 'Browns' (next door to hotel).
Our room included access and amenities of the executive lounge on the 7th floor. We found this very good and also included a full breakfast in the Manhatten Grill each morning which was very enjoyable and had a varied selection
We travelled into central London using the nearby Uber River Taxi from Canary Wharf pier. This is ideal as this is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and reasonably priced and runs frequently. Download the App and pay for tickets up front, easy. Or you can pay on the day. Ideal for sightseeing.
All in all we had a very good trip and wanted to stay longer if we could have. Will recommend to friends. We felt very safe and comfortable throughout our stay.
We look forward to booking our next trip at this hotel.

The staff at this hotel need collective congratulations for being so good! We had a great welcome and from there every interaction with the staff was positive, from the service in the bar to the maintenance and to the reception.
The room was lovely, perfect for us as a couple with a teenager. We stayed two nights and travelled into the city for leisure at the weekend.
Here's some practical information for anyone thinking of staying:
A night- time taxi from Tottenham Court Road to the hotel cost us £35.
You can walk to the Canary Wharf tube station in just a few minutes. It is over the water and there are a couple of bridges that will take you there. It is in an extensive shopping mall. The tube to Waterloo will connect you quickly to anything in central London. We used the method where you tap your card and keep using it all day. The cap at the moment (Feb 2022 at the time of writing) is approx £8 max per person per day.
The hotel is next door to a Brown's brasserie and there are lots of eateries nearby. The breakfast is not £22 if you pay on arrival, it is £15. We really enjoyed it. It is buffet style with various coffees, teas, fruit juices, water, hot chocolate, eggs, bacon, sausages, (ask for vegetarian, they cooked mine to order), tomatoes, hash browns, beans, mushrooms, eggs, an omelette station (cooked to order with various fresh fillings), pastries, croissants, breads, smoked salmon, cold cuts, fruit, yoghurt, etc. We were full enough that we didn't need to buy lunch which was a bonus in London.
Provided toiletries include body wash, lotion, bar soap, shampoo and unusually conditioner, as well as a shower cap. Towels are large and plentiful. You can control the room temperature yourself.
My husband stays at Marriott frequently and a lovely touch was a little something left in our room to acknowledge this.
Lovely stay, highly recommended!

Stayed a Saturday night there, as we had pre-booked a while ago to cheer someone on for the London Marathon. The signage, sanitisation, clear barriers, one way routes, and social distancing for covid procedures is excellent. Check in was a breeze.
A really nice, comfortable room. We had a view over Canary Wharf and the water at West India Quay. Extremely clean, with a very large tv. Only thing we could have done with was tea/coffee/kettle in the room, but there is an adequate machine on the ground floor reception, and this provided some good quality morning coffee's for us, which didn't take long to fetch in the lift.
We enjoyed a time at the G&Tea Lounge, where drinks were served to our table in a very professional, courteous manner. Likewise the breakfast at the Manhattan Grill was excellent in quality and service, with everything done to enhance social distancing and hand contact through visors and signage, with separate access areas for drinks, cereals/pastries/fruit, and hot cooked to order food. A very enjoyable stay. I wish the hotel well in these difficult times.

Room was upgraded upon arrival. Had a great view of the water. This Marriott is in a perfect location for anyone wanting to spend time in Canary Wharf and close to public transit if you want to go to other London tourist areas. Breakfast was great, the bed was comfortable and the staff was courteous. Will be staying again.

I visited the Manhattan Grill restaurant for breakfast, the same restaurant that caters for the hotel guests. I decided on the buffet breakfast which was £22 and subject to a 12.5% service charge. We were looked after by Nikolo who really could not have done more for us, he should be the blueprint for how customer service should be done.
I had the billingsgate omelette followed by pancakes with clotted cream and blueberries, so yummy still thinking about them the next day. My friend had the eggs Florentine and the nutella and banana pancakes. There was so much variety that it was almost impossible to make a decision. You can opt for the a la carte menu or the buffet, the buffet allows you to choose everything off the a la carte menu.
The restaurant itself is lovely, you get a good view of the docks. The West India car park is across the road and was £6.50 for just over two hours. The DLR is across the road so excellent for those travelling by public transport. I have stayed at this Marriott before and found that the customer service and facilities are excellent. If you are disabled or have a pushchair then you should have no problems visiting this place. Marriott needs to give a Nikolo a pay rise because he made our visit special and we will definitely be back and sooner than planned! Happy New year Nikolo!

We were booked this hotel for a present and were a little surprised at the cost of it over the weekend in Canary Wharf. The room was nice and comfortable, albeit a little dated - but the main room was incredibly dark - sitting in the room to get ready had to be done with my makeup being done squished against the window.
The TV notes that they only clean the room every 3 days, which when you are spending over £250 a night on a room feels incredibly cheap!
The thing that let the room down most was the bathroom, the shower curtain was a nightmare, every time you moved it it unclipped itself, the toilet was continued to make noise for ages after it was flushed, the lighting was almost pure orange and tje toilet was actually impossible to flush with nails having to push it incredibly hard and deep.
Personally think it needs a big overhaul to justify the price and wouldn't choose to stay again, although the location was nice,

I had the pleasure of staying at the London Marrott Hotel Canary Wharf in mid-December 2022. I can honestly say it was possibly my best hotel experience post Covid. The location of the hotel is exceptional, only 2 minutes walk from the heart of Canary Wharf and the hotel literally adjoins the West India Quay DLR station which is an integral part of the London Underground network. As regards the hotel itself, the staff were very helpful, knowledgeable and polite. Plus, unlike a lot of hotels post Covid, this hotel is well staffed with no delays encountered whatsoever – in particular Daniel G from the management team was exceptional, reaching out to check everything was in order. As always, the rooms, common areas and restaurants/bars are exceptionally well fitted out an maintained, proper 5 star standard. The room itself was magnificent with a lovely view of Canary Wharf at night. The room contained everything one would expect in a 5 star hotel and the room was very fresh and everything looked perfect. As regards the food and beverages, my room included access to the Executive Lounge and I can honestly say it is one of the very best I have used, it was open 24 hours for soft drinks, coffee, crisps etc. and in the evenings the food available was of the highest quality and sufficient for anyone without the need for a visit to the restaurant or room service. Breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor and as has always been my experience at this hotel it was excellent and also has a beautiful view of the water and buildings. Honestly, this is a great hotel and I have always loved it hence the positive review!

Dear OG705x,
thanks for asking! Our hotel is not in possession of a car park but the SABA car park is a convenient 1-minute walk away from the hotel. It is a multi storage car park which does not require pre-booking.
Do not hesitate to contact us for any additional assistance!
Sincerely,

Yes it does but I do not remember if it is everyday.
We took Uber while in London. Just make sure to tell them you have luggage if you book.
