It was good, but I'm not likely to strongly recommend. The location was not terribly convenient and we found ourselves spending more on taxis than public transportation as a result. Also the beds were super low and not incredibly comfortable. Lastly upon check in, the receptionist tried to argue that we booked a smaller room. Had I not printed out...

I stayed here last week for business. The room had all I needed but it wasn't comfortable and was stocked with lots of accessories all of which had a price tag. Bed was comfortable with clean linen and good quality towels. My room was themed as a 1950 / 60's classroom which created a rather harsh industrial feel. The setting...

I went for late drinks on a Thursday evening - well as late as we were allowed! Lights promptly turned up bright at 1am! The bar area had a cool vibe rather than cosy. There were a mixture of people socialising and people sitting at the long benches beavering away on lap tops! No intimate couples settling in. The service...

Absolutely loved this place. We didn't stay here but had coffee and just chilled out. People come here to work and hangout and it's just a really cool vibe! Coffee was good by London standards. Worth a visit

The hotel itself is good, if not more than a little unusual. Since I am not a hipster, it may be be fair of me to review it. We walked there from the Old Street tube stop, which may not have been the best choice. We later learned that we preferred the walk to the Liverpool Street tube stop. However,...

I stayed for two nights on business. The hotel is generally well thought out, but it's almost as if they're trying to sell you everything. The bathrobes in the room, for example, were available to purchase at £180. A bit steep. The rooms are done out in a strange way. There's a kind of retro feel, but they miss the...

Booked 2 day meeting room and 7 bedrooms, from start to finish nothing was too much for the staff here. Rooms were amazing and huge for a London hotel. Every detail had been thought of, price was also great booking directly. Conference facilities were great and the food was amazing at every meal. Highly recommend for a business meeting or...

This hotel really depends on what you are looking for. Rooms: modular, dark, so modern they are depressing. Small, no moisturizer. Bring it! Window opened to a concrete wall. Bathroom is small. Bed is small and hard. Now for the good part: If you want a more social setting stay here! Great for going downstairs and working at the public...

Perfect location at the heart of Shoreditch, cool restaurants and cafes just outside the hotel. Spacious room and professional service at the front desk. Heard so much good about the breakfast buffet but didn't had the time to enjoy it :( Will definitely come back!

A very nice hotel, dead trendy and popular with lots of young people and their Apple Macs! Some great touches in the rooms, items from local shops like a blanket from A.P.C etc. Comfy bed and quiet room on floor 3 at the back of the hotel. We'll be back.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.

Welcome to the Ace Hotel London Shoreditch, a 5 star property in the historic Shoreditch neighbourhood, a hub for galleries, theaters and fashion, home of the Brick Lane market and a canvas for street artists from around the world. It’s a neighborhood with a long history of culture and industry — the first district where plays were performed in London, banned at that time in the center city, and later a center of in textile and furniture manufacture.Today’s Shoreditch is a leader in the arts, design, cuisine, culture and technology — an outpost in the global community of ideas. The design at Ace Hotel London hints at a wide range of influences from UK punk to the bold graphic style of the early 20th century Vorticist movement, to the clean Modernism of the Bauhaus. All rooms have vintage furniture, original artwork, in-room safe and flatscreen TV with Ace video-on-demand and Revo radios with Ace-curated radio stations, plus a well-stocked mini-bar and complimentary WiFI. Some rooms have turntables and a selection of vinyl and acoustic guitars.Easy access to Moorgate, Finsbury Square and Liverpool Street. Destination restaurant Hoi Polloi is by David Waddington and Pablo Flack who are restaurateurs behind Bistrotheque and Shrimpy’s. Gym is open 24 hours; the Hotel also features a Basement Bar with live gigs and DJ sets, a lobby bar, The Bulldog Edition - a coffee shop in partnership with Square Mile Coffee Roasters, an exhibition gallery, on-site juice bar, a flower shop, and 24 hours room service. ... more   less
