Point A London Kings Cross is lauded for its modern rooms and welcoming atmosphere, though some guests mention noise and lighting issues. The hotel's prime location near King's Cross Station makes it a hit with travelers, yet opinions on value vary with critiques on additional charges and room quality.
While the staff's friendliness stands out, limited amenities and infrequent cleaning services have been noted. The rooms are clean but small, with some lacking windows and basic tea/coffee facilities.

Detailed Reviews
Having stayed in this hotel numerous times, I can confidently say that the quality of the customer service and the hotel and it’s facilities are to a consistent high standard.
In regards to customer service, it is important to address the outstanding customer service received by Katerina during the daytime. Each time I’ve visited she has always made sure to make my experience the best it can possibly be, welcoming me always with a smile, she’s a lovely person to talk to, and always goes above and beyond to help.
Equally, the customer service received by Mehmet during the nighttime is great, he is a joy to talk to and efficiently helps me with any queries I have.
Other notable mentions of good service are Chelsey and Andrea.
In regards to the hotel and it’s facilities, it’s worth addressing the fact that for a perfectly centrally located hotel, the price is extremely competitive and fair. It is located a five minute walk away from Kings Cross Station, which is connected to all main underground lines for all tourist attractions in close proximity.
The hotel itself feels newly refurbished, clean, and tidy. The reception/lobby area is spacious, with much seating, and a nice place to relax.
All the rooms I’ve stayed in, with or without a window, are to a quality standard, with a decent amount of space, a comfortable bed, and a decently sized shower area.
For those preferring natural light and air, I’d recommend a room with windows, but for those who wish to use the room predominantly for a good nights sleep, I’d consider opting for the room without windows, because whilst it’s reliant on air conditioning, having no windows means no possible disturbance of noise or bright light, resulting in a better sleeping experience.
All in all, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit London for either work or pleasure, I’m confident that you won’t be disappointed.

I booked this hotel for 5 nights over the new year. The location is absolutely perfect, it was about an 8 minute walk to the hotel from King's Cross St. Pancras station. You can get to any part of London within a short metro ride at King's Cross station. It takes about an hour to get to/from Heathrow to the hotel on the metro - use the Piccadilly line, eastbound.
The British Library is within a 10 minute walk, along with many restaurants and bars. Covant Garden was a metro stop away, which was really great. London has a easy metro system to navigate. I'd suggest getting a oyster card if you'll be there for more than a few days. It will lessen the cost of metro travel.
Check-in was simple and easy. The check-in time is 3 PM, but if your room is ready before then, they'll let you in. The staff allowed a complimentary coffee while I waited for my room. Fatima and Muna were particularly wonderful and provided great service. The downstairs lobby is tastefully decorated and also has an area to eat. They serve breakfast in the morning, and it was pretty good! Once breakfast is done, they have snacks in the lobby available for purchase.
I had a double twin room, without windows, on the 5th floor. The room was very small, admittedly, but it was enough room to set luggage down (not much room to walk around, so be prepared). It was also clean and suited our needs, as we weren't in the room much anyway. The room had wonderful mood lighting to account for the lack of natural light. You could change the lights in the room to different colors, and that was a really nice touch. The walls seem thin, as I could definitely hear other people coming into their rooms late at night or talking loudly in the next room at times, but it wasn't anything that kept me up at night.
There are 3 elevators that take you to the upper levels. The hotel has no iron in the room, but they do have an ironing room on the bottom floor where you can bring your clothes and iron them.
At night, the hotel doors were locked and you had to use your key card to open them. I believe I saw someone occupying the front desk throughout the night as well.
Overall the stay was really great, and I would not hesitate to book again the next time I'm in London!

Hello BreW2006, This is what we call a true Trip Advisor Review. Sharing your experience in such a detailed way will definitely help others to understand Point A Hotel Kings Cross Concept and how we do things here. It is undeniable how incredible our location is. To be in such a convenient location only paying the best rates in the area is a real bargain and we all love one, don't why?! If you prefer to walk to the city centre, there are a lot of 30 minutes journeys to be done or for the more adventurous people that prefer to explore London by Tube, you can find a lot of connections in Kings Cross. We understand the room dimensions in our hotel will not fit a football team inside but for two guests has all the essentials needed for a good night of sleep. Plus, our team will do everything they can to make sure you have all the assistance you need and all the caring they can provide. Let us just add to your review, if you want to save even more, make sure you join the Alist in our own website for 10% discount in all reservations and more surprises with our local partners. We all hope to see you again, Ben

The hotel’s location was perfect for travelling around the city and sightseeing and was very useful for us arriving late Friday night by train. We did not pay for breakfast as we felt this was quite expensive at £9 per person for quite basic fruit, pastries and cereal, especially when there was a McDonald’s and a Wetherspoons nearby where you could have breakfast for two for around a tenner.
The room itself was a good size and we had a fantastic view of different landmarks such as the shard and the gherkin. However the layout was not the best and didn’t make the most of the space, there was no wardrobe or cupboard and simply one rail with some coathangers but when you placed clothes on the coathangers they then completely covered the only full length mirror available. The bed was comfortable but the room definitely needed some updating, the paint around the window was extremely chipped and there were lots of dirty marks on the walls which clearly could not be cleaned off And need to be painted over. There was lots of limescale and grime in the bathroom and the facilities in the room were not great, there was no iron and is now tea or coffee facilities. You could go downstairs to reception and buy tea or coffee but this was not ideal first thing in the morning before showering then we would have liked a cup of tea. There was also ironing facilities in the room downstairs but again we preferred to do this in our room.

I've stayed at Point A a couple of times now and they're are incredibly good value.
The Kings Cross branch is in a great location just down the road from the main station.
The cleanliness of the reception and rooms is impeccable but what also really stood out to us was how friendly, accommodating and professional the reception staff were.
We had a 2 night stay and on arrival asked to switch rooms due to the fact there was a generator outside that particular window. As I'm a very light sleeper I asked if we could move and they instantly moved us to another room which was perfect!
All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Erina at the reception, who we mainly dealt with, was especially lovely and made us feel very welcome and was instantly accommodating with our various questions regarding our stay.
The rooms are compact but that's the style of Point A and was expected due to the price but they're also all the same size. Due to the value, cleanliness and friendliness of staff, we will definitely be staying again.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking for super value, a comfortable bed, clean room and great service!

Hello charlotteA05, Thank you for your lovely 5-star review, All of our guest experience feedback always mentions our location, as we are located in the centre of London where all the fun happens. They also mention about the service received from the team members and the value for money, and this is something we are so proud of. During the current situation of Covid-19, cleanliness is so important to us. Many thanks for highlighting our cleanliness as we wouldn't want to miss that one out. We always want our guests to let the reception team know of anything that can ruin your stay with us, as we are here to provide an unforgettable visit. We are glad to read we were able to accommodate your request. Irene will be pleased that you recognised her customer service. All our rooms are designed smartly to provide the same quality of comfort during your stay. Point A is a special quirky brand, I'm confident you wouldn't find another brand like us elsewhere. Your recommendation warms our hearts and we cannot wait to see you again next time. Till then, take care. Chelsey

This hotel reflects very much what they claim to be on their website. They remind of you of some of the low-cost airlines that charge you extra for every additional service, so things add up. Wifi is free, but there is no provision for making tea-coffee in the room which I am not sure is always the case. As others have said before me, avoid altogether if you are claustrophobic (especially the lifts!). Staff are either extremely courteous (some of the best I have seen) or bordering on the snobbish. If you find another popular Hotel chain at similar rates, you might want to avoid this Hotel, otherwise, make sure you lower your expectations before booking! They are just okay given the location.

This is a super impressive hotel - the basic room was absolutely perfect for business travel. I booked a basic room (no window - which is OK because I wanted a quieter room). The room had a comfy bed, a private bathroom (with soap, towels a superb shower - with ample pressure and hot water), a small desk, and TV. Plenty of plug points dotted around the room and adequate lighting and AC to ensure a good nights sleep.
The employees working at the hotel were fantastic. Nathan checked me in within a matter of seconds and was on hand to answer any questions. The lady working at the restaurant was so charming and wonderful to speak to. I will definitely come back here. This hotel is a gem!

For a single night’s stay this is a good option to consider. Checking in late at nice was painless and the reception staff friendly. The corridors are a bit of a maze but my room on the second floor was quiet, being far away from the lifts and high footfall areas.
The room was an open plan design, with coat hangers on the wall without having a wardrobe, no desk but a couple of pull down shelves, but storage otherwise wasn’t bad - there’s some shelves next to the bed, a digital safe and a large shelf in the bathroom. The large mirror behind the bed made the room feel slightly larger and not too cramped, and the colourful mood lighting worked well and made it feel homely despite the wooden floor. The TV was a good size for the room with decent picture quality although there’s no drink facilities in the room at all. The view from the room was very basic and overlooked by lots of other windows.
The bathroom was modern and spotlessly clean and although the shower was very small it worked well with good power and heat, with shower gel being provided. Towels were decent enough.
There’s a lot of affordable options in the area and being a little further away from the key locations means it’s a little less value for money, but I’d consider it again for a sound night’s sleep.

Room was clean, but I object to paying over £100 per night for a “double” room which measured 8ft by 9ft. The standard double bed (not king size) almost filled the room.
Price per square foot was probably more than The Ritz.
I won’t be staying again.

I stayed 1 night at the Point A in Kings Cross between arriving from Scotland by train and departing again from Heathrow Airport. I didn’t need much for the short stopover and on the whole the Point A was adequate. It is within fairly easy walking distance of Kings Cross station, has 24-hour reception and it was very well priced. I had booked a room without a window which was the cheapest available. The room was a small box but I have had much smaller and that is not a criticism based on the room description and cost. It contained a double bed, side tables and a small shelving/hanging unit. There was a safe right at the bottom of the shelves which was very close to a side table making it darn near impossible to use. There was also a hairdryer but no kettle and no chair which was a bit uncomfortable but there wouldn’t have been space for one. The A/C unit worked well as did the wifi.
The bathroom was very small and the shower door was constructed so that you had to squeeze past the sink to enter the stall. I suspect it had been installed the wrong way round. I could only get soap out of the bulk containers in the shower and over the sink by using both hands meaning the soap then needed to be scooped up from the floor or the side of the sink. Softer bottles would easy fix the problem. Soundproofing is another issue with a lot of noise in the hallway from departing guests at 4.30AM. Perhaps I was just unlucky. However, overall this hotel suited my needs and I would return to the Point A for a single night when needing accommodation close to Kings Cross provided that the price was right.

Stayed here for a couple of 1 night stays while attending the Euro football tournament in London. Hotel is nicely located about a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross station. There are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Check in process was quick as I pre-registered online.
Had a room with a window on the 4th floor for the first stay. Had everything I needed for an overnight stay. Bed was comfy and shower was powerful enough. TV was smaller than the promoted ‘40 inches’ so watch out if this sells it for you. Mine was no bigger than 22/24 inches.
The second room I had was with no window. This room was in the basement and meant I had no phone signal in the room. They do provide free wifi but worth noting if you plan to make calls, you will need to go up to the reception. Bathroom was much smaller and whole room was claustrophobic. Worth going for a larger room with a window if there for more than 1 night.
All in, £60 a night for a London hotel room isn’t bad in a decent location with a decent room.

They have 24 hour check in. They will keep baggage on the last day until you collect free of charge. I believe their check in time is 11 but it may be 2pm. If you email them they are very helpful. I hope this answers your question as I don’t read Italian.
No deposit was taken. I hope this helps.
