Pros: Quiet, nice neighborhood. Very nice employees, quick check-in. 10 minute walk to Southwark Tube station. Convenience stores next door and across the street. Nice coffee shop across the street. A short walk to pubs for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Decent sized room, nice size bathroom, air conditioning/heat, hair dryer (not that great). Note: Taxi from Paddington Station was £24. Private...

in addition to several maintenance And housekeeping problems, (e.g. extraordinary noisy and malfunctioning toilet, and very noisy and not properly sliding toilet door, failure to clean the room one day, and toilet paper not replenished so none left on the last night) the bedroom had some significant problems for a disabled guest. The bed was very low and softwith nothing...

Another fantastic stay in this great hotel. Requested a certain type of room and was given it. Perfect. Also was celebrating our wedding anniversary and the staff at the premier inn made it very, very special for us, which we really appreciated. We did the meal offer which included a two course evening meal with wine and also full English...

This is a great hotel for a few reasons: (1) amazing night sleep (though the walls and doors are thin and carry most conversation, the beds just make you feel weightless and allow you a great sleep), (2) the check in process is super easy and via kiosk, with attendants that are super friendly, (3) the price for what you...

Ok if massively overpriced room but 1 of the lifts has been out of order since yesterday .........just very poor.Extremely disappointed and not a patch on other Premier Inns I've stayed in.Just seems tired and considering the price you'd expect far better

An excellent location if you want to be near the Thames. Great value for money with helpful, pleasant staff. The room was quiet and very clean. The continental breakfast was excellent value for money and set us up for a hectic day of sightseeing.

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Southwark
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
