Wow, what a treat! Staying at the Adria felt like an absolutely luxury. We felt pampered from the moment we entered the door. After spending a horrible day stranded roadside with a broken down car for 5 hours, we checked into the Adria and instantly forgot our woes. The small and thoughtful details throughout (the Arabic coffee and imported dates...

My partner and I have just returned from the Adria Boutique Hotel after he booked it for my birthday celebrations. We've stayed in London numerous times in the past and always find ourselves in the Kensington area, however, this was the first time we'd come across this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely Mercy who lead us...

This hotel is sumptuously decorated with all the modern technological gizmos you would not associate with a period house. I think it attempts to recreate the atmosphere of the elegant town house with the use of heritage paints and fine furnishings. It would be easy to say it made me feel at home immediately but I think , in reality,...

This hotel is a good place for a one night stop when visiting West London as it central for Kensington Gardens, South Kensington with its many museums and boutiques, the Kings Road etc. The décor is very attractive and the rooms well equipped, and there is a butler to bring you whatever tea or coffee you would like to make...

After a day in London you will appreciate the postmodern relaxing design. All amenities of a 5 stars boutique hotel with superior and friendly service. Very pleasant and relaxing room with a large bathroom. Few rooms so you can really feel at home. 4,5 out of 5 has the Qatari owners should proposed more TV channels and a larger bandwidth.

We stayed here for our two year anniversary on the recommendations of trip advisor, and it certainly did not disappoint. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. We were given a brief tour of the hotel and then taken to our room. We stayed in a junior suite and it was perfect, the bed was comfy, the room is well...

I really loved this hotel in South Kensington. We arrived early and our room wasn't quite ready. We were greeted so warmly by the staff, offered tea and coffee and of course we were allowed to leave our luggage while we went off to explore the nearby museums. On our return, we discovered we'd been upgraded to a larger room....

The designer of this hotel has applied some originality to the decor, and the best rooms are large and rather sumptuous. The hotel does not serve alcohol, and the service can be a bit uncertain, although always courteous. Book direct and ask for a rate - the hotel sometimes offers very good value. One major criticism, the XJS single room...

We booked the Adria due to the special they were offering to stay 4 nights and pay 3. This was not offered via the internet so we needed to call and book directly. We were never sent a confirmation mail after speaking to the hotel but were assured our reservation was confirmed. We found this odd but it worked! The...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
