One of London's finest luxury hotels just 25 metres from Eurostar at St Pancras International and actually within Kings Cross Station, offering a 24 hour front desk, free Wi-Fi and a complimentary comprehensive in-room entertainment package. Befitting the GNH's rich architectural heritage, the hotel's bedrooms have been sensitively restored with a design that exudes elegance and grace. Free from unnecessary clutter, the rooms are expertly proportioned, with high ceilings and an abundance of natural light through large 'six-over-six' slash windows. Walls, floors, ceilings and windows are acoustically lined, creating a peaceful cocoon. The mechanical and electrically systems are state of the art, furniture is bespoke designed and hand crafted by Italian and British artisans, and only the very best fixtures and fittings have been used - Loewe LCD HD televisions, top of the range Hypnos beds and Lefroy Brooks bathroom furniture. The hotel is home to one of London's finest destination restaurants, RAILS Restaurant & Little Bar, whilst on the ground floor sits GNH Bar and Terrace a destination cocktail bar, with a stunning interior serving the very best food, champagne and cocktails.

Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Nestled in London's vibrant heart, the Great Northern Hotel garners acclaim for its cleanliness, with guests often highlighting its spotless rooms. While the hotel's atmosphere charms with its elegant rooms, the bar's noise levels receive less favorable mentions. Its prime location is celebrated for convenient transport access, despite some concerns over noise and local disturbances. Although the stylish rooms are well-received, their compact size and layout have drawn criticism. Opinions on value and service vary, as some guests commend the staff's helpfulness, but others feel the cost is steep given the room dimensions and service hiccups. Amenities like the in-floor pantries and the bar are generally praised, but service aspects occasionally fall short of expectations.

Finding the way to the reception the first adventure as no reception sign at entrance. You go through the door for The Rails restaurant and turn right. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Ensuring our luggage was carried up to our room. Room 315 definitely quirky but stylish with it. It was clean and well presented, with plenty of sockets for charging all our gadgets. Wardrobe eventually discovered only to be just big enough for a witch's cloak but forget the lion ! Again a tv that offered just advertising and an even more limited choice of viewing. Might as well not have it in the room. Once more breakfast not like any other, other than St Pancras, with too much orange juice and cereal. While warmed over bread is apparently what passes as toast. The cost of breakfast ridiculously exorbitant. Even Midas would have been astonished at the charge ! Next day we got breakfast at Starbucks for a minuscule fraction of this.

As always a great stay at the Great Northern Hotel. The hotel and rooms spotlessly cleans . The staff polite and attentive. The location and transportation links second to none . An ideal base for exploring London . A special mention to Marco Salamon the general manager whose prompt replies to emails and attention to detail enhanced the whole stay. This is our third stay here definitely will be back.

Great Location if you want to be at Kings Cross for an early train or late arrival, rooms are small but work well, they had everything you need for a one night stay, not sure I would want to stay longer as better locations in London, Stayed on a Marriott redemption which was good value compared to the cash cost.

If you haven’t stayed at a Marriott autograph hotel know they are unique. You will get some nice touches with unique rooms which holds true here. The hotel has a great location. Underground stop right next to the hotel and you can get anywhere in central London quickly. Additionally you are very close to Paddington station to easily jump to other cities in Europe or train to Paris. Great breakfast included with plat status.

I just completed an overnight stay at the GNH hotel and had a pleasant experience. Chanelle at the front desk warmly greeted me upon arrival and facilitated earlier access to my room. The hotel is elegantly appointed and rooms are virtually soundproof despite being next to several major rail stations. Each floor has a pantry if you’d like to grab a coffee/tea and pastry throughout the day. Highly recommended!

Well located right next to Saint Pancras and Kings Cross Stations. Good restaurant and bar downstairs. However, the rooms are unusually tiny. Have stayed twice, both times on the top floor where the rooms have slanted cielings like in an attic- I hit my head on the sloped cieling both times. The rooms here are very very small. Doable for one person but I can't imagine it for any more than that.

The reality is that this is quite an expensive hotel with a great location with small accommodating rooms. Now there is one primary reason for why this gets such low ratings and it is simply because their WiFi is simply the worst I have ever experienced through all my travels. So bad that even 3rd World countries have better Internet. My internet would drop about every 5-10 minutes and you can't take a single video call on your laptop. And because it was soooo bad, I had to use my phone all the time and ran out of high speed access. All in all... avoid this hotel at ALL COSTS!

My family and I booked this hotel purely by chance as it was connected to the station on a day which saw all trains north cancelled for 24 hours. We were so stressed when we arrived at the hotel after waiting on a freezing platform for over 6 hours and were immediately looked after by the lovely ladies on the reception desk - Isha, Kiran and Chenelle. They moved rooms around to accommodate us as we needed to be near our two children. These ladies really helped to turn a horrific day into a wonderful stay and could not have been more friendly or helpful and we could not thank them enough. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated in a sophistocated 1930's theme with a welcoming ambiance. The bar was gorgeous and the bar tender made us our favourite cocktails which were not on the menu and they were delicious. The rooms were bright with large windows and clean with lovely toiletries. The beds were super comfortable aswell as the pillows, we all slept soundly as the windows were very insulating and we did not hear a thing! Each floor has a unique little pantry situated at the end of the corridor which is available 24 hours for tea/coffee and snacks. The newly built Coal Drop Yard was a short walk away and gave us somethign to do in the evening. Breakfast was beautiful and again the decor in the restaurant was exquisite. We hope to return to London next summer and will definitely be rebooking this glorious hotel!

Nice hotel - shame the room only had a bathtub with hand-held shower, made life very difficult. Time for a bathroom rethink? Room was well appointed and comfortable. Bar is excellent and your team make brilliant cocktails. All the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Very good score given due to the bar and its staff. Otherwise it would just be average.

We are delighted to read your positive comments about the service at GNH Bar. With regards to our Victorian rooms, some have shower cubicles and some have bath-tubs.
