Have stayed here before, but this time was a little disappointing with room size (room 315) and layout - although very quiet. Room was immediately next to the lift, and I think had a chunk taken out of it to fit round the lift shaft. Wasn't totally clean. Valance looked like it had a large paint stain down the side...

Stayed here several days on business. Excellent location, around the corner from the Oxford Circus tube stop and on the doorstep of Soho. My room was very comfortable with an excellent bed. Service was friendly. No one was a native English speaker, but everyone was perfectly fluent. My electronic keycard frequently malfunctioned, but there was no problem getting it (repeatedly)...

Shopping, shows, restaurants and people watching all outside your door. Rooms were functional and the service was good. Soho is a great location and this hotel is around the corner from a tube station. Didn't eat at the hotel as we stayed only a short while.

My husband and I were given the afternoon tea as a gift from our children. On arrival at the hotel we found the outside of the buildings a little disappointing. However, inside as much nicer. Afternoon tea was very organised and the selection was very good considering I had the gluten free option. Yes, the champagne is not Bollinger. But...

Ok its not the Ritz , if you want that then pay £600 a night go there. For that type of money everything would need to be 100%. Some of the bad comments made I simply don,t get -- mice really ??? the hotel is immaculate. The girl on the reception was a little reserved but polite and the concierge...

After a 12 nights in hostels, I was looking forward to two nights in a "5 star" hotel. How I was disappointed. The service was nonexistent, but I normally could care less about interacting with staff. The room was dirty. Stains all over the carpet and dirt collecting in the corners. I did not want to touch the cushions on...

There is no need for a lot of human interaction when staying in hotels these days and in the case of the Courthouse Hotel (the one at Great Marlborough Street) that's a good thing. I booked the room for a three night business trip and as the hotel was in a tourist area I was very pleased with the good...

Dear GroenS. Thank you for your feedback about your recent stay and I have picked up the issues you mentioned with the Room Service Manager and Front Office Manager as this has shown a severe lack of communication which is not acceptable. We are always committed in providing the best possible service however have to admit that we failed here...

Were given this in conjunction with another experience. We were greeted warmly and thats where the experience started. Our waitress (un-fortunately we did not get her name) was very attententive but not over the top. The tea was lovely and throughly yummy. We took an interest as to the times when it was a Courtroom and the waitress kindly gave...

Dear Eastlakes, Thank you for your kind words about the Afternoon Tea at the hotel and great to hear that the team looked after you so well. The hotel does indeed have a lot of history and very good of the team member to take you through the history and show you the court room. It just adds that little...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
