Dear Stevemac134, Hope you had a safe journey back home after your stay with us. Delighted to hear that you enjoyed your 60th Birthday treat with us. Sorry you had to experience the water issues, this took a bit longer than expected but was necessary for the hotel to function. Glad you appreciated our efforts to ensure that your trip...

Visited for one night on good Friday. Location is superb for central London. However, the quality of the room isn't good enough for 5* pricing.only one member of staff on reception for checking in. Lots of other people trying to check out as well. It was chaotic.not enough loo roll,no flannels in bathroom,no hotel info in room,no turn down service. We...

Dear Binsysmith, Thank you for your email and feedback. Sorry to hear that you stay did not meet your expectations, I am liaising with the front office team to find out what happened as there were 4 staff on duty that day , so there would be no excuse for delays or shortage at reception. Hope you are willing to...

Stayed here one night with my daughter, came to London to see Matt Cardle at the Zedel, Picadilly so wanted hotel nearby. The hotel was very difficult to find due to very small signage outside, walked past without realising, staff told me they are not allowed to erect a big sign outside. Once inside the hotel is very smart and...

Dear Carole D, Thank you for your review of the Courthouse Hotel. Always nice to get positive feedback. Hope you enjoyed Matt Cardle his performance at Zedel, which as you mentioned is about a 10 minute walk away. Sorry to hear that the options for breakfast were not made aware to you, there should have been a small menu on...

We had an afternoon tea voucher bought for us so used it on a day out in London. The room was very nice, the staff very pleasant and efficient. The tea itself was promptly served, a great choice. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were served within minutes. I thought the scones were very small in comparison to others we've had...

First time in london and what a disappointment of hotel it was. Very far from being rated 5 stars. I have no idea how they got rated so high..but they have an AMAZING location. You can't take this from them. In the middle of everything. Why I gave it 3 circles? 1. Rooms ( superior queen) - outdated design, small...

Dear Eliran A, Thank you for your comments, please let me know which room you stayed in and we can have a closer look at some of the comments you made. The Sauna does indeed close at 7pm however access to the Gym can be gained at any time. Being a Grade II listed building means that some things we...

Great location in Soho. Friendly and helpful staff. Some of the historical features are unfortunately a bit lost as they for some reason have decided to make the place Thai themed. The interior is that of a business hotel rather than the boutique hotel we were expecting, but the facilities and rooms are nice.

Dear Lasse_sorensen, Hope you had a safe journey back home. The only thing Thai about the hotel is the name of our Spa and our Silk restaurant is Pan Asian so has some Thai influences. Good to hear that you appreciated our location. We have a lot of original features still from when it was a courthouse. Thank you for...

We were very happy with our overnight stay at the courthouse hotel . The location is perfect for theatre land / shopping etc . The hotel is right opposite carnaby street . The LOCATION is the only thing that is five, four, or even three stars. But the hotel itself barely earns a single star. After an overnight flight and early arrival, we did not expect to have our rooms available (we had booked two rooms). We planned on grabbing some lunch and then taking a nap later. But our rooms were...

Dear Blazerg, Thank you for your feedback which is very disappointing to hear and reading your comments I can imagine your disappointment as well. We will certainly investigate this internally and have Housekeeping and Maintenance perform better checks on the room status. Also the behaviour of the concierge team will be looked into. My apologies that your weekend did not...

Beware. The Courthouse is now a 4 star hotel at best. And its no longer owned by Kempinski. The revamp is not yet complete and the rooms are small. The reception is odd, and often unattended. There are gantrys and missing ceiling parts. The gym is tiny and lacks a workout bench. Not recommneded except for its amazing location.

Dear Peterandbertha, Thank you for your comments, the hotel has actually never been owned by Kempinski, it was franchised. The ownership has remained the same over the yeas. There is currently work being done in our Lobby area which explains the missing ceiling parts as you mentioned, this should be completed this week. We normally get positive comments about our...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
