We were looking for a hotel that was quite central, near the tube and close to the Shoreditch area. This hotel ticked all these boxes. Staff were Friendly and helpful and held our luggage while exploring. Our room was satisfactory, clean and quiet. Price reasonable value for the area.

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 29 October 2016

I've stayed in many hotels in London over the years, some cheap, some expensive, some classy, some much less desirable! All things considered, the Ibis London City is without doubt the overall best hotel I've ever stayed in London. Yes, it's not a 5 star hotel of the likes of anything on Park Lane, but then the price isn't anywhere...

Basic place with all necessary amenities to relax while travel for work at London. Centrally located very near to the tube station and having nearby shops and restaurants options to buy things...well priced too!

The Ibis Hotel Shoreditch is a decent business hotel. The rooms are small but clean with the minimal requirements for a comfortable stay. They somehow do not prefer to include breakfast with the room rate which I felt was odd. Breakfast is decent but can get boring if you stay for 5 days as I did. There is absolutely no...

Very nice spacious twin room in a hotel located directly at Aldgate East tube station. Very convenient. A Tesco express is next door and there are countless cheap/reasonable places to eat within walking distance in almost any direction. The location is not too far from the Tower Bridge and Tower of London area. It is one tube stop away. Hop...

This hotel is very well located, 2 minutes walk from the underground and 10 minutes walk to the London Bridge. The bedroom is modern and clean, except for the bathroom, which could have been cleaner (that's the only reason I'm giving 4/5 instead of 5/5). The bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, we...

Haven't stayed at an ibis for a while. Always considered them to just cheap and a bit cheerless. This one isn't. Good location. Very clean and newly decorated. And a really impressive breakfast buffet. Very close to tube line. No parking but there is on street parking not too far away. Definitely would use this hotel again Impressed

Stayed here overnight this week. Check in was simple as I'd made use of online check in. Staff were kind and courteous. Food was good in the bar. Comfy bed with everything you need the room. Only slight negative was going down two floors for the ironing room. Otherwise great. Will use again

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
