Easy to get to and great staff who help you without you asking. Beds are so comfortable it's untrue. Breakfast is great with plenty of choices. Pity bar is being refurbished but all ok apart from that. Good value place to stay

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We spent two nights at this hotel for a city break in London and were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the polite attentive staff. We chose the hotel essentially as somewhere to rest our heads after a busy day and didn't expect too much more but were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very close to Aldgate...

Staff were friendly and allowed us to check in early which was great. The hotel itself is clean and very basic. A couple of problems though: - There is nearby construction work in the city with drilling starting just after 8am. I don't like to complain, particularly when you need to expect a certain level of noise in the heart...

The Room was located upon the ninth floor overlooking a quadrangle. It was nice and quiet. The Room was small, but adequate. But the pillows were rubbish, caused a nasty headache. The staff were attentive and helpful. I discovered subsequently that if I had complained about the pillow the staff would have tried to find a better pillow for me,...

This was our second time staying at the Ibis chain. Will definitely book again on our next visit. Pros: * Proximity to tube station- very easy, 2 min walk to Aldgate East station. * Great neighborhood- good restaurants and pubs all around, within walking distance to some great shops (15 mins to Marks n Spencer, Next, TK Maxx and more)....

Stayed here for 3 nights. For the price, you won't find much better in such a good location! Very central and within a few steps of Aldgate East tube station. The room was very clean and tidy, as was the rest of the hotel, but it was so warm that we found it hard to sleep at night. We never...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
