The stay was nice with hotel very near to tube station. There are too many rooms on one floor which made it a long walk to find your room. The was comfortable with just adequate space.

We've booked the room in advance and so got a double room for about GBP 70. The location is great! You walk out of Aldgate East metro station and here it is! So it took us really minutes to reach the heart of London. The rooms were nice and clean, the frontdesk staff were very helpful and friendly. Of course...

The deal with a Hotel Ibis is that you get a tiny bar of soap, plus liquid soap in a dispenser in the shower. So there I was, having my shower - I tried to get some soap out of the dispenser but it was empty. So I had to exit the shower, unwrap the tiny soap bar, then resume...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
