This is like all Ibis hotels I know. Small, very small rooms. Just big enough to sleep. Not enough space to use the laptop and write at the same time. But again, it is a budget hotel, so don't expect to much. If you travel on budget, this hotel is just ok.

The room was clean, not too small and very silent. The position was great, near to Aldgate and Algate-East tube stations and the Tower of London. The breakfast was good and the roast-beef excellent. The quality/price ratio is high.

Perhaps because it was late in the evening but check-in was a slower process than usual at this hotel. We began to think that our reservation had been lost! After that, our stay met expectations of an Ibis hotel. We recommend having breakfast at the hotel. Food and service in the restaurant in the evenings is also good.

I was working in the East End so I booked this hotel for 5 nights. I was not expecting anything extraordinary from an Ibis as I've stayed at others, but for the 108 GBP I paid per night it was a reminder of what poor value London hotels in general offer. My reservation had been canceled without warning, but that...

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
