The Jesmond made for a very pleasant and affordable stay in London. I was a solo traveler and stayed for 9 nights in Room 5, which faced Gower Street and had an en-suite bathroom. The room is small and difficult to move around, and the shower stall is pretty tight, but for travelers not looking for anything too fancy this...

I recently stayed here for 6 nights while on vacation. I had a single room, second floor, facing the street. yes, its noisy, but I was prepared with earplugs. it's a main street, so yes there will be traffic noise. But that was never an issue. The room was nice; I had a small single, with en-suite bath. It was...

I've stayed here before and it is good value (by London standards) for a B & B. Close to Goodge Street tube station and the Tottenham Road shops, cafes etc. I had a single room with a bathroom. Tiny tiny room - if you have a lot of luggage you would probably struggle here. They do warn you it's a...

We have stayed here several times and each time was great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is filling and good. Rate is readonable. Location is excellent, with 3 tube stops within close walking distance.

We moved to this hotel/B&B from the Holiday Inn. It was a bit cheaper to stay here by about 10GBP. The location is decent with respect to tube entrances to choose from. Our room was on the ground floor facing the garden. It was very quiet. We were told that the best way to know when breakfast was being served...

A friend recommended the Jesmond based on a stay several years ago. It is still under the same ownership and did not disappoint. Rooms are small (they're not kidding) and clean, and since you likely won't be spending time there except to sleep, it's really more than adequate. Close to the British Museum and others, as well as to theaters...

I strongly recommend staying at the Jesmond. The rooms are clean and generous with comfortable beds. It is centrally located and the Beynon's and their staff are very friendly and welcoming. The Hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, but it is only a short walk to everything Soho has to offer as well as a couple different Tube lines...

Overall, the Jesmond was a great hotel for the affordable price. The included full English breakfast was made to order and delicious. We stayed at the hotel for 10 days, so it might have been nice to have a variety in our choices, such as pancakes or waffles or different types of cereals. We stayed in the family room, with...

I wholeheartedly recommend the Jesmond Hotel. My daughter and I stayed for three nights on a quick trip to London. I had been looking for a reasonably priced offering within walking distance of the theatre district. This, if you have been pricing London hotels, is not so easy to find. The Jesmond perfectly fit the bill, offering a range of...

7 nights, single en-suite room. This B&B is ideal if you want somewhere inexpensive to sleep, leave your luggage and have breakfast while on a tourism visit to London. The staff are helpful, it serves a freshly cooked English breakfast and there is a free internet PC in the guest lounge for people who don’t travel with a device. It...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
