We stayed in the Jesmond for our first 4 days in London. We were in the front room and found the street noise a problem.Evidently bus routes had been added since we last stayed on Gower Street. The room was large enough, but the bathroom was tiny. The overall impression was of dinginess. I must say that the breakfasts were satisfactory.My...

Dear 'aspidistra49', I was very surprised and sorry to hear of the unsatisfactory experience that you had here during your stay with us. We take all complaints seriously, and strive to correct them where appropriate. The most important factor for us as a family run hotel is our reputation, and we hope that everybody who stays here enjoys the time...

The Jesmond is a family run hotel located near Goodge Street station. It is an excellent location with no doubt. The hotel happens to be on a street of B&Bs. We've only tried out one of the other ones, and found the Jesmond is better. I know there are cheaper places to stay on Gower Street, we actually tried to...

Stayed 3 nights in room overlooking the garden - amazingly quiet for such a central location. Close to all transport options, theatre district, and resturants in Charlotte St, or Bloomsbury. Breakfast was better than expected, ie really good, and staff very friendly. Over all a fantastic clean budget find for central London. Ask for back room over looking garden. No...

Stayed in a room on the first floor facing the garden which was great. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, good shower & colour tv. Breakfast was very good. Overall would stay here again. Computer with internet available for guests to use. Within walking distance to several metro stations, and to shopping in Covent Garden area.

I stayed at the Jesmond for two weeks in early June, and I will definitely stay there again. The family who runs the hotel and their staff were friendly and helpful and answered all my tourist questions with unfailing patience. The breakfasts were delicious and served in a cozy room which seemed to invite guests to talk to each other,...

I had 3 requirements when booking a hotel in London. I wanted a central location, en-suite bathroom and breakfast. The Jesmond Hotel more than filled my requirements. From the moment I checked in until I left, I felt very welcome. It seemed like I was staying at a friend's house. The rooms are small, but I spent so little time...

Yes. The rooms are tiny, there is no lift, there is no air conditioning and you get road noise if you have a front room. That said, I'll certainly stay here the next time I'm in London: -The price is right. -The bedrooms and the washrooms are very clean, even the common ones (I got an en-suite room but I...

Stayed for 3 nights at the Jesmond hotel recently, and found the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Location is excellant, with easy access to the tube, and theatre districts. There are some good restaurants near by for dinner, with an excellant english breaakfast at the hotel. The rooms are very cramped, and can be niosy as the walls are quite...

Selected this hotel from reviews on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. Sure, the rooms were small but we were out all day so didnt matter. Had a front room and apart fromthe odd siren going by, slept like a baby for 3 nights. Evidently the beds are all new throughout and ours was very comfortable. Close to the tube...

I stayed in this hotel in Dec. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room and the bathroom were spotless clean and big enough for a solo traveler. They even provided shower gel. Before I stayed at Jesmond, I was staying at Alhambra. The staff in Alhambra was so rude and the room wasn't nice. So after a night at...

Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
