The Holiday Inn Express London - Earl's Court consistently receives praise for its spotless rooms and commendable service, with the staff earning accolades for their helpfulness. Its prime location offers convenient access to transportation and local sights, though the immediate surroundings receive mixed reviews. Guests have called out the hotel's value, finding the pricing reasonable for the amenities, which includes a varied breakfast, despite some noting the rooms can feel cramped and occasionally chilly. The lack of evening dining options is a minor drawback for some visitors.

Holiday Inn Express (HIEX) Earls Court is a wonderful hotel. The pros begin with free breakfast. Although it's same food every day, the variety is very good. We especially enjoyed the fresh fruits - oranges, bananas, apples. The lines to get coffee is always long. So we drink tea. The 24x7 hot water is extremely helpful.
If you want better breakfast, you should book with Hyatt or Hilton and you will pay a lot more.

We considered this hotel vs HIEX Victoria, which is about 33% more expensive. Many tourists attractions start at the Victoria COACH/BUS station, so HIEX Victoria would be a better location. But we chose Earls Court because it is much better value.

Tube stations are walkable (to young people) but not that close to older people like me.
There is a bus stop right in front. 28. It goes to a tube station. In general, we found tube expensive compared to buses. Many tube stations don't have elevators/escalators. Another reason we preferred buses.

The free TFL app gives excellent real time information on what bus/tube you can take.

Uber in London is surprisingly cheap. Other than peak hours, we took Uber. We are over 65. After a whole day of walking, taking uber is a no-brainer.

Room is very quit. We were on the 2nd floor. Very quiet at night. The walls are thick.

AC in the room is probably turned off centrally during the day. Buy if you don't go out, let management know so they can leave it on. We went out every day.

Beds are very comfortable. Not saggy. This feels like a remodeled hotel. A lot of good qualities you can't tell from the outside.

Cons-

The room is small. No safe in the room. No fan in bathroom. I'm trying hard to find some faults. But I really liked this hotel. But I'm giving 5 stars.

Dear Yunitech, Thank you for your wonderful review of Holiday Inn Express, Earls Court. We're delighted that you enjoyed your stay and found several positive aspects, such as the free breakfast with a good variety of fresh fruits, the convenient bus stop in front of the hotel, and the comfortable beds. We appreciate your feedback regarding room size, the lack of a safe, and a bathroom fan, which we will consider for future improvements. Thank you for choosing our hotel and we hope to welcome you back soon. Best regards, Reception Team

I have rarely stayed in IHG hotels, but I will likely do so more in future if possible after this very positive experience. This is a budget hotel (c.40gbp per night coming out of covid lockdown in May 2021, so it will normally be more). The standard of the room was excellent (furniture newness and quality, condition of decor and general cleanliness, bed and bedding excellent) the bathroom excellent too (good shower, good loo and basin, surfaces and hooks to put things, all bathroom was new and clean) and the management/staff of this hotel are obviously very competent, as well as being friendly/pleasant. Staff are polite and helpful, easy to check in and out and common areas are spotless. There was hardly any noise in this property, and I slept like a baby, which is what matters right? The breakfast is pretty good, you can have a very nice bacon butty, beans, ok sausage, coffee or tea, and they have a good little selection of bread and cold breakfast foods and drinks. This hotel is walkable to 3 district line tubes (Earls Court & West Kensington (also Picadilly these 2) and West Brompton (also Overground)) and there are loads of little supermarkets.. Coop and Waitrise v close.. and shops nearby, so you can get cheap snacks, drinks, salads etc, there are takeaways that look ok but I am very picky, so passed up. My only gripes about this hotel (nit-picking here) were... had to get a new kettle, and they have those anti-theft clothes hangers that fall off, but these tiny issues didn't matter as everything was otherwise fantastic, and the fact that apart from these 2 inconsequential things I was very happy speaks volumes about this hotel. Big thumbs up from me.

My wife and I booked here while attending an event at Olympia.
We book Holiday Inn as we know what we are going to get as we always try to stay in them
The hotel was clean and as expected. They had noted on the booking that I needed an assisted room, which they provided for us.
The staff we friendly and above all so helpful, from the gentleman who greeted us in the morning when we arrived, and put our luggage into storage, to the lady and gentleman who checked us in later that day, and even helped us to our room with our luggage.
The hotel was busy, especially at breakfast, and the breakfast worked tirelessly to keep everything restocked for the customers.
It would have been nice for the parents of the children actually kept an eye on them at breakfast as they were running in and out of everyone trying to get their food. Thats not a fault of the hotel at all, but maybe a sign to help parents understand that they have to control their kids
Would deffinatley return to this holiday Inn

It’s a budget hotel with very basic rooms. They include the breakfast in the package, is the same everyday so if you are staying longer then it may feel monotonous.
About 10 mins walk from the underground and 1 to 2 mins from the bus stops.
Rooms are clean, With basic amenities.

We travelled as a family of four with 2 young children for our first trip to London together and would definitely choose to stay here again the next time we return.

The hotel ticked every box for us, parking (extra charge) but right next to the hotel and plenty of space, free breakfast which provided hot and cold options and set you up for the day, plus close to West Kensington tube station where you can get to all the landmarks within a matter of minutes.

The staff on the front desk were all very friendly and helpful, offering to look after our bags as we arrived earlier than check in time. The rooms were big enough for us all and clean with everything we needed, it's also in a safe area so didn't feel worried walking around during late hours with children.

Only slight negative that you'd expect with any hotel such as this, is that breakfast could get very busy and all of the food stations were located in what I can only describe as an alleyway, forcing people close together and without a one way system it did feel quite chaotic but the food was very nice and a bit of shoulder barging at breakfast sets you up nicely for the tube anyway!

I made a booking for the Holiday Inn Express Earls Court back in May. The reservation was taken and a booking confirmation sent.

It's now Friday evening in July and by chance I phoned the hotel to check if I could drop my luggage early when I arrive tomorrow.

The reception lady tells me the hotel is currently closed as a Covid isolation hotel and isn't accepting reservations.

The Holiday Inn helpline has no explanation for why the booking was taken when the reservation would never been able to be honoured. The best they can do is offer me a room miles away from where I actually need to stay.

It was purely luck that I phoned the hotel to check luggage arrangements - otherwise my family and I would have arrived tomorrow evening to find your closed doors. I've had no contact whatsoever telling me my booking has been cancelled. In fact, they emailed me only 2 days ago telling me how much they're looking forward to our arrival!!

So, thanks Holiday Inn. At 12 hours notice I've now have to find another hotel who can accommodate me. And because I'm now booking at short notice - I've had to pay significantly more.

I shall look for a hotel that honours the reservations they accept.

Regularly stay here when on business in London. It’s a standard HI Express. It is not 5* but it is good value and very handy for 2 tube stations. Rooms are tidy, showers adequate, breakfast is ok. Plenty of food options outside of an evening too.

The closer you get to hotels in central London the more expensive & smaller the rooms become, this suits me as it’s slightly outside the centre but easy to get tube in.

We stayed here year's ago and decided to come back for our London visit. The location is about a 8 minute walk to 2 tube stations on the District line. Breakfast is good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, etc. Beds are comfy as are the pillows. Shower and bathroom are good. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room hadva rattling noise coming from the heater that was promptly fixed. Our 2 biggest drawbacks were dim lighting in the room and weak wifi. We were told that with the new update, they eliminated the lighting bar over the beds. We just found there wasn't enough lighting to compensate. Also the wifi was extremely weak. Reading some of the previous comments, looks like we are not the only ones finding this. Maybe it was just the location of the room. I would suggest an upgrade to this.

Having made the booking with the central reservations and specifically requesting interconnecting rooms, we were somewhat upset to find on checking in that our rooms were not interconnecting and were not even next door to each other. The receptionist did eventually sort this out, but not before laying the blame squarely on central reservations, and denying any responsibility, regardless of being the face of the company.
The shower cubicle had black mould on the silicone arond the bottom of the shower tray (an easy fix) and the outside of the shower was filthy with dried on dust.
Not a pleasant experience at all.

Dear Cathy S, I'm very disappointed to hear of your experience during your stay with us. I will of course be feeding your comments back to our housekeeping team, along with reception and also central reservations. I am very sorry that we were unable to accommodate your request. I have looked into this and unfortunately due to the room types you required, this would never have been possible as we simply do not have those types of interconnecting rooms. I am sorry that you were told it would be possible and I am disappointed you feel this was not dealt with in the most helpful manner when you arrived. Once again, thank you for your review. We do value your feedback. Kind regards Kieron Roe Deputy General Manager

We chose this hotel as we needed to be in the West of London and have used Holiday Inn in the past .This hotel lives up to the chains reputation and price wise is better than similar style chains .It was very clean and comfortable although I would recommend a twin room even for a couple as the doubles are very small. It was also very quiet .Breakfast is included in the price giving extra value for money . There is a bar on the ground floor but no evening food. The surrounding area is not particularly nice , however the location is good for getting to Heathrow and getting into the center of London by tube, bus or Uber , which are extremely good value. If I were visiting the UK from abroad I am not sure I would find the location pleasant, however the hotel itself is fine and connected well to transport links.

It seems a little unlikely. Even if you book the room on the internet and pay with a credit card, the minor will be checking in him/herself and the staff at reception will see that he/she is underage.
