This would have to be one of the best hotels I have book in quite sometime, perfect location with easy access to the tube, several sightseeing locations and several restaurants/pubs. We stayed here for 7 nights and managed to eat at a different location each night, all within 5min walk from the hotel. All of this was made more enjoyable...

Stayed just 1 night on a business trip and the stay was fine. I was worried about the construction ongoing in front of the hotel but actually the room (view over the construction site) was very quiet. Pros: - friendly staff - hotel clean - confortable bed and functional room - boiler available for a cup of coffee or tea,...

I have tried som 40 - 50 hotels in London. Apex City is of the one of the few where it is possible to sleep. Clean and quiet. Walking distance to all of London City. Pleasant and good service when making the reservation.

This is an excellent hotel very well located in the City of London. What I like the most is the kind hospitality and the comfortable rooms. i have stayed at this hotel quite many times and it is my preferred choice. It makes me feel home being away from home.

Everyone made our stay as comfortable as possible, all employees have been more than kind, the food was delicious, the english breakfast super nice, just the air condition kept us a little cold. We really enjoyed being there.

I rreceived a very warm welcome on arrival and the room was nice, clean and quit. The location of the hotel is very close to the financial district so perfect for a business stay but it is also very close to the Tower Bridge underground and DLR station so good connections to everywhere in London. The quality of the food...

Apex City of London hotel was a clean luxury hotel with a very friendly staff. The staff were super! The hotel is what you would expect for a luxury hotel of value - robe, slippers, two bottles of water complementary. Location is good - it's set back on a not too busy street - Seething Lane. But it's next to...

I traveled to London for business during a wintery week. The Apex City of London Hotel was great! We had super service and a comfy bed. When we arrived I did ask to change rooms as the room we were first given wasn't a true king. They quickly moved us to another section of the hotel where the bed was...

Great location near to the Tower of London - we walked along the River to HMS Belfast and the Royal Festival Hall passing other places of interest en route. The hotel is welcoming, well cared for ,and we enjoyed all our meals very much - dinner, two breakfasts and a room service snack. We would go back to enjoy sitting...

Wonderful hotel, perfect for a short stay. Friendly staff experienced and well equipped rooms. Car Parking (under ground, safe & clean) just 5mins walk away from the hotel on Lower Thames Street and only £2.50 for an over night stay (Sat to Sun) at the weekend, as the City closes down for most things.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
