The staff at this hotel were very helpful and friendly. It is a little noisy on the side of the hotel that backs onto the train lines it is almost touching distance. If you are a light sleeper maybe it's not for you. This may be a particular problem in the summer if you want to open the windows as...

Despite this hotel being in London this Travelodge has the best and biggest family room we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a few! With two real single beds and a large double, with plenty of space around and even an entrance area. The whole family were very pleased. Also it lovely addition to have fresh iced...

Great location for Tower of London, friendly and helpful staff would definitely stay there again. There is some noise from the trains but you got used to this and there was some suggestion of triple glazing being installed.

Stayed overnight for my works Christmas party. Literally just used to stay overnight. Clean rooms, shower cubicle had send better days - quite a lot of scratch damage. 10 min walk to Aldgate tube and Liverpool St station.

I was absolutely disgusted by the effrontery of this so called 'hotel', not only did they not have bedside lamps but they also lacked the basics such as the towels begin folded into swan shapes, no rose petals strewn across the bed and no complimentary gold foil wrapped Elizabeth Shaw mint chocolates on the pillows. I phoned room service to...

The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent and very good value for money - especially the breakfasts. The room was clean and comfy. The only problem is the railway right outside the back of the hotel. It is the first time I have checked into a hotel with "....and here is your room card, would you...

Arrived after a hard day at 0012 with booked room. Hotel had overbooked and given it away. In all other industries this is fraud. Useless and dishonest. Airlines, hotels, you have got to stop this. And tripadvisor ditch the 200 character minimum. Ship is a 4 letter word and says it all

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
