This hotel was okay and it worked well the two nights we stayed there. Unfortunately me managed to time the hottest days in London and this hotel did not have air condition. We were given a room on the ground floor as this was said to be the coolest. It was still very hot but I suspect that in comparison... More

The hotel was in a great location right near both Goodge Street and Russell Square station. The breakfast was good at the girls at breakfast were very helpful. The rooms were made up daily. The bad however outweighs the good. The hotel is supposed to have a 24 hour reception, when we arrived at 1.30am after a late arrival of... More

I had to travel at short notice to London and needed a hotel in this location. I ended up paying 212E for a single bedroom up in the attic with the dodgiest bathroom ever! The room was small, dark, torn curtain, filthy remote control, noisy and 53 steps up in the attic! only positive was nice staff ! might have... More

visiting London, we found the hotel to be traditionally decorated, clean, respectable, very helpful reception (allowing us to keep luggage in reception even on the last day so we could enjoy the rest of the day without lugging baggage) the hotel room had good facilities, however the traffic was very heavy on the main road very early in the morning.... Smallest bedroom in the world, bed isn't even as big as a double ,ripped net curtains also black from road grim, couldn't even sit on the toilet properly as your knees hit the door, and then to top it the worlds smallest TV didn't work Pleasant staff and breakfast average to sump it up its more of a hostel than... If you are looking for a noisy, small and unkempt hotel this is the best place in town. Stayed here for 5 nights and had about 10 hours sleep all week as the noise from all bedroom sides and the road is terrible. My room was so small you could not move around safely and had to keep moving my... More

Had a recent one night stay at The Cavendish when attending a course in central London. First thing to say is, at this price point for London (c. £100 per night), don’t expect The Ritz! But there are certainly a number of positives – you’re in a great location in Gower Street, ideally placed for ‘Fitrovia’, all the restaurants in... More

I stayed here with my wife, as we needed a base close to Euston. The hotel was rated 3-4 star on booking.com. reality was its more of a 2-3 star version. the hotel has a cramped feel, with small rooms and narrow stairs and corridors. The staff are really friendly and couldnt do enough to help. Breakfast was cooked to... More

This hotel is satisfactory if you are willing to trade prime location (for visiting University College London) and good breakfast for a microscopic room with limited amenities. In its favor are the excellent location for visitors to University College London (across Gower St from UCL) and excellent English breakfasts. The breakfast is cooked to order and includes eggs, grilled tomatoes,... More
