Stayed with friends and what a disgrace this hotel is. The hotel looked OK from outside until you got inside. The hotel was dirty and it stunk. The dining room was that small everybody was knocking into each other trying to get their breakfast. There was a communal toilet and shower so you had to wait until it was your...

Hotel LOOKED like a nice boutique hotel. Decided to book it. The room isnt clean. The Décor looks nice in the picture... reality it looks nasty. There are budget hotels and terrible ones. This is the latter unfortunately I went out to reception and argued with them... which eventually after pretty much saying you've paid we have your money and...

I booked this hotel on www.expedia.co.uk for what I thought was a great deal - 34 pounds for a two-room suite with kitchen - sounded too good to be true! Well it was, when I showed up a few days later, the new employee at the very small front desk told me my booking had been cancelled! It was close...

I have booked this hotel after reading good reviews about it and after checking the photos of rooms provided by this hotel. The location was ideal, near the center and in a very good area. However, to my disappointment when I arrived late the evening I got a room in the basement with virtually a window that was a meter...

When we first came in, we were welcomed by staffs who were over the top, selling the room as if it was a 5 stars. We were surprised to discover an extremely tiny room. The cupboard has been transformed into a shower (10cm from the bed) with a very unclean curtain. Once we put our suitcases on the floor, we...

We booked one night in the Kensington Court (Notting Hill) through booking.com and stayed there on a Saturday this month (October). There was me, my partner and her five year old girl. We arrived at the hotel at midday on the Saturday - two hours earlier than we should have done. Understandably the room was not yet ready so they...

We would strongly not recommend staying in this hotel. We stayed in the basement apartment downstairs which was surprisingly large and could accomodate at least 7 (although there were only 4 of us). While we appreciated having so much space, the apartment was uncomfortably noisy at night which made us feel quite unsafe. My Mum found bugs in here bed...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
