Located on Regent Street in the heart of London, Hotel Café Royal embodies a perfect fusion of historic grandeur and modern luxury. Steeped in a legacy of elegance dating back over a century, this hotel offers an experience that feels both iconic and refreshingly contemporary. Whether it’s for a luxurious city retreat or a special occasion, Café Royal delivers on all fronts.

Rooms:
The rooms and suites are thoughtfully designed with a modern touch that complements the hotel’s classic heritage. I stayed in a suite featuring marble accents and plush furnishings, blending style and comfort effortlessly. The spacious layout and meticulously curated amenities, from Frette linens to bespoke toiletries, ensured a stay that felt indulgent and restful. The room’s soundproofing also provided a peaceful sanctuary amidst the city’s vibrant energy.

Service:
From the moment of arrival, the service was seamless and attentive. Every staff member, from the front desk to the concierge, brought warmth and expertise to each interaction. Personalized touches, such as handwritten notes and curated suggestions for exploring the city, made me feel genuinely valued as a guest.

Dining:
Café Royal’s dining experiences are exceptional. Breakfast at The Green Bar offers a delicious start to the day, while afternoon tea at The Oscar Wilde Lounge is a true celebration of British tradition. The stunning setting, adorned with gilded mirrors and plush seating, sets the scene for an elegant afternoon. For a sophisticated dinner, the hotel’s main restaurant provided a memorable meal with a menu that creatively highlights seasonal, local ingredients.

Amenities:
The Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is a true gem for those looking to unwind. The spa’s calming ambiance, extensive treatment menu, and large indoor pool provided the perfect retreat after exploring the city. Additionally, the hotel’s central location made it convenient to visit some of London’s top attractions, such as the theatres of the West End and high-end shops on Bond Street, all just a short walk away.

Conclusion:
Hotel Café Royal is ideal for travelers who appreciate a balance of history, luxury, and attentive service. It’s an experience that bridges old-world charm with contemporary flair, making it an exceptional choice for anyone looking to enjoy London in style. I would return in a heartbeat.

Recommendation:
Perfect for couples, luxury enthusiasts, and those seeking a unique blend of London’s heritage and modern comforts.

I actually stayed at the Café Royal in May 2022. I know it's taken me 2 years to write this review, and unfortunately, I cannot select a date later than April 2023.

Despite the time, I vividly remember my amazing stay at the Café Royal. It all happened on the 14th of April, 2022. I spent 2 nights there and honestly had such a relaxing time.

First of all, their amenities! Do you know that they gave us so much food and champagne that we did not need to order dinner after this? My picture is not giving the amenities we got justice, but just know that not everything was captured!

I had the best massage that lulled me right back to sleep, then returned to my room to enjoy a nice bubble bath - something I usually never do. However, their bathroom setting was so inviting, I had to give it a try.

Their English breakfast was good; I had it twice but with different styles of eggs, if I remember correctly. What stood out the most was their extremely cute and original 'chausson aux pommes'! It was shaped like an apple!! Like, what!?

I had an amazing stay, and the receptionists and the guest service team, in general, were extremely nice and welcoming!

Looking forward to staying there again soon!

The hotel's decoration is full of classical art atmosphere, and the bathroom in the guest rooms gave me a perfect bathing experience. I love this bathroom so much! Everyone here can make you feel meticulous care. Thanks to the front office for preparing champagne and desserts for us. The hotel's location is also very convenient, but it doesn't hinder you from sleeping because the sound insulation in the room is very good. I will choose this place again next time I come to London!

We spent a few nights here before heading off to Greece for our summer vacation. Our family of 4 stayed in the Westminster Suite and it was lovely with views on to Piccadilly Square and windows on 2 sides. The room was in perfect shape, decorated in a minimalists style and had everything you could possibly need. The bottle of Veuve on arrival was a nice touch and back in the days when we used to drink we would have really enjoyed it. Every interaction with the staff was perfection. All requests for the concierge prior to our arrival were attended to promptly. I can find absolutely no faults with this hotel! We are already planning our next summer vacation and based on our wonderful stay here want to visit Amsterdam so we can stay at another Set Collection property The Conservatorium.

The hotel is in the best location, able to walk to all the amazing central London destinations. The room was incredible, the marble tub was superb. The service, room cleaning, room service was perfection from the moment we arrived and were picked up at the airport to the check in with Champagne to the Moët on ice and chocolate covered strawberries in the room. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate all of the needs from early check in to spa reservations and restaurant recommendations. The spa services were impeccable, Valmont products made my skin glow for the entire trip. Chopard toiletries are perfect.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The service from all the staff is simply 100% top notch. From the doorman to the reception/concierge to the bartender and the chambermaid. Your every wish is fulfilled. Because of the room category we chose, we had a limousine at our disposal for 10 hours a day, so we were able to see lots of sights. Breakfast is offered a la carte, which I personally find very pleasant because you can enjoy this time in a relaxed manner. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the spa because we didn't have enough time. But we will definitely be back!!!

This hotel is a gem in the centre of everything. The rooms are spacious, the mini bar has an amazing stock of unusual and quality snacks, and lovely tea and coffee. The beds are comfortable with soft duvet and comfortable pillows, and immaculately clean! The nightly turn down was like walking into a fully cleaned and replenished room, loved the pillow spray! Lovely shower with great pressure.
Above all of that the staff and management are amazing, they go above and beyond, and you would expect that in a top class hotel, but they really are warm and friendly, from concierge, who parked our car and took our luggage, to everyone on reception. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back as I didn’t have time to go to the restaurant or use the Spa.
There are so many little touches that make your stay feel special in this hotel and we felt very privileged!

We had an incredible stay with memories that will last a lifetime!

We decided to make a quick stop to London while traveling through Europe over the holidays, and spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We originally booked the Four Seasons and decided to cancel and stay at Hotel Cafe Royal and also upgraded to their “festive package”. BEST DECISION EVER! We wish we would have planed to stay longer!

We have a 3 and 6 year old and wanted to make this Christmas abroad as special as possible for them. Pearson and the rest of the guest relations team were simply amazing!! They thought of everything and were incredibly accommodating with requests! I can’t thank him, Elvis, and everyone else we encountered before our arrival and during our stay enough!

The holiday decor was festive yet elegant, the Christmas lunch was delightful and my daughter absolutely loved the visit from Santa as well as the carriage ride and hot chocolate on Christmas Day!

I could go on and on with all the details but, simply put, if you are considering a stay at this property you can’t go wrong!

I visited Hotel Cafe Royal for the first time this past weekend, booking a Grand Junior Suite. Having travelled a lot across Europe for work, I can easily say that the Hotel Cafe Royal is the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

From the moment you enter the hotel towards the front desk, you are immediately struck by the hotels rich history and grandeur. Every member of staff who I encountered over the 3 nights were incredibly professional, whether it was the front desk, room service, housekeeping or concierge.

The quality of room service was fantastic. There was a large selection of food and drink, available to eat either in the restaurant or delivered to your room. I found the portion sizes to be very generous, and the food all tasted delicious!

My room was large and comfortable and looked out over Regent Street. I truly believe the location of this hotel cannot be beaten!

Thank you to everyone who made my stay so comfortable. I will definitely be staying again!
