My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights for our anniversary. I loved the hotel. The service was great. The place is so beautiful. The rooms were incredible except only for the lighting. They truly are very very dim lighting. The knobs to adjust the lighting didn't work properly, either, and the a/c was very warm. We called engineering,...

I loved almost everything about Café Royal, the only point that disapointed me was the walls of my suite, the large brick effect looked like a prison ! The staff was really amazing, food is great, but breakfast needs a little upgrade too, maybe you should propose something similar to the Café menu ! BIGGEST plus : the location !!!

We stopped here to celebrate our honeymoon and loved it. The hotel feels so quiet even though it's on regent street. It's like you're escaping. The hotel looks like a classic New York hotel. Even the lifts were a mini event. The staff were also very friendly and would show you your room upon check in. One point to note....

Aleister Crowley used to stay here. It is a beautiful building, the rooms are well kept, the marble bathrooms extremely pleasant. Although it is located in a very busy area, the windows and walls are completely soundproof, you will sleep well. The service is lovely, all employees extremely helpful and polite. The food is good, they even have matcha tea...

I would highly recommend Cafe Royal Hotel in London. Great service, clean sheets and towels, easy check-in and check-out. Centrally located, beautiful surrounding area. Chinatown is at walking distance. Behind the hotel you can find Shoryu Japanese Ramen Restaurant for quick eats and a 24-hour Whole Foods supermarket.

This is the most stunning backdrop for an afternoon tea venue. The room is ornate, gilded and transports you back in time whilst still having a modern feel. The service wasn't the most efficient when we first arrived but once seated, we were well looked after. We choose the festive afternoon tea and decided to have a glass of champagne...

Fantastic hotel, with great attention to detail. Situated in Regents Street just of Piccadilly Circus can you get anymore central? Service was tremendous from arriving and dropping of the car on Thursday afternoon (shortly before Regents Street was closed of for the lighting of the Christmas Decorations) till getting the car back and leaving on Sunday afternoon. The hotel is...

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Combining architectural heritage with contemporary design, Cafe Royal has been reincarnated as a luxury hotel in the heart of London's West End with the elegance of Mayfair to the west and the creativity of Soho to the east. Grand historic areas have been sensitively restored while 160 guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites have been created in a contemporary yet refined style. Our guestrooms start from approximately 35sqm/377sqft to 212sqm/2,281sqft with every room presenting itself as a suite. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Cafe Royal offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy. At the heart of the hotel, the Ten Room offers British informal dining all-day, while the Green Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a cocktail. Restored to revive the ornate Louis XVI decor and detailing, the iconic Oscar Wilde Bar (formerly the legendary Grill Room, originally established in 1865), is now the place to enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a light menu of British dishes and live entertainment on select evenings. The Cafe, on Regent Street, revives the European tradition of cafe culture. To complete the experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is an urban retreat in the centre of the capital spanning over 1,200sqm/13,000sqft featuring a large lap pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and offering a range of signature treatments. Reflecting a core vision to harmoniously unite the four natural elements of nature, Akasha features four corresponding spaces; lounge/earth, spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air. ... more   less
