Perfect location for theater lovers, shoppers addictions, and luscious restaurants. I was greeted and welcomed back all the time and thanked endlessly. Staff is trained to exceed the highest client service and it was accomplished.

Although I had high hopes, these were quickly exceeded. I know it's a 5* hotel and it is pricey but in comparison to other 5*'s in London the service was amazing. I had a room facing Regent street which meant a beautiful view but was still very quiet. Room is beautiful (although not quite to my taste) and bathroom is...

I stayed here over the Christmas period with my partner and had the best time in every aspect. We stayed in the junior suite which was great and although located facing the road was completely silent. We didn't have time to visit the spa but did have a quick dip in the pool - clean and well maintained, the staff...

I've stayed here a couple of times for business trips. It's always nice for the first couple of days, but after a while it gets to be too much. You soon discover the staff isn't as nice as they perceive to be. I had a group of people staying here for a month and over that month we all had...

We read the reviews about this Hotel before we visited and they sounded amazing. Well the reviews didn't do this hotel justice it was outstanding ! Where do we start, the rooms !! The lifts to the rooms look like the lifts from yesteryears when they had operators. Step into the spacious well appointed room and wow cones to mind....

Highly recommend this beautiful hotel. Wonderful service, Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, great bar, good food. Smack in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. Great location. Lots of fun. My husband and I celebrated Christmas in London with our two twenty-somethings children. Would stay at The Cafe Royal Hotel again for sure.

This was a birthday treat for my partner, afternoon tea in the exceptional oscar wild bar. We were welcomed straight away from the friendly and professional staff that helped us make the most of the experience. The oscar wild bar is such a beautiful room, the piano player was brilliant, set a very relaxing atmosphere. I can't fault our experience,...

They have at least four/five options for hot chocs ,I took the Maitre D`s suggestion which was a fusion and sat back and then floated into chocolate heaven! A quiet haven after the bustle of Regent St. Great place for a quiet conversation. Serene ambiance - will definitely be returning!

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Combining architectural heritage with contemporary design, Cafe Royal has been reincarnated as a luxury hotel in the heart of London's West End with the elegance of Mayfair to the west and the creativity of Soho to the east. Grand historic areas have been sensitively restored while 160 guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites have been created in a contemporary yet refined style. Our guestrooms start from approximately 35sqm/377sqft to 212sqm/2,281sqft with every room presenting itself as a suite. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Cafe Royal offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy. At the heart of the hotel, the Ten Room offers British informal dining all-day, while the Green Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a cocktail. Restored to revive the ornate Louis XVI decor and detailing, the iconic Oscar Wilde Bar (formerly the legendary Grill Room, originally established in 1865), is now the place to enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a light menu of British dishes and live entertainment on select evenings. The Cafe, on Regent Street, revives the European tradition of cafe culture. To complete the experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is an urban retreat in the centre of the capital spanning over 1,200sqm/13,000sqft featuring a large lap pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and offering a range of signature treatments. Reflecting a core vision to harmoniously unite the four natural elements of nature, Akasha features four corresponding spaces; lounge/earth, spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air. ... more   less
