This was a birthday treat for my partner, afternoon tea in the exceptional oscar wild bar. We were welcomed straight away from the friendly and professional staff that helped us make the most of the experience. The oscar wild bar is such a beautiful room, the piano player was brilliant, set a very relaxing atmosphere. I can't fault our experience,...

They have at least four/five options for hot chocs ,I took the Maitre D`s suggestion which was a fusion and sat back and then floated into chocolate heaven! A quiet haven after the bustle of Regent St. Great place for a quiet conversation. Serene ambiance - will definitely be returning!

The food was really food you can enjoy from a complete food (like dinner or lunch) or ask for tea hour option (with sandwiches and exquisite pastry). Take your time and enjoy the experience, in the middle of Regent st. Is a perfect excuse to stop your day and relax enjoying great food. Do not hesitate and go and enjoy...

It will be my fifth stay here. A very high level of service with beautiful modern and spacious rooms. Excellent location as well. Probably more suited to leisure than business trips though, as some of the rooms don't have a desk (a small table instead), and if you want an iron you have to request it every time.

This is my third visit to the hotel. I have always found the service to be excellent, the linens and towels comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi a terrific amenity. The are always glitches, and there was one on this occasion, but the staff always responds promptly and professionally.

By far the best absinthe bar in the UK, the staff are so helpful and very knowledgeable about the café and all the drinks and cocktails served I used to go here in the early 70s it was good then and better now love the place.

We stayed here for 10 days and chose this hotel just because of the location. Location: It's very convenient to walk and shop around SOHO, China Town, and enjoy plenty of famous shows in West End. Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Combining architectural heritage with contemporary design, Cafe Royal has been reincarnated as a luxury hotel in the heart of London's West End with the elegance of Mayfair to the west and the creativity of Soho to the east. Grand historic areas have been sensitively restored while 160 guestrooms, including 49 suites and six signature suites have been created in a contemporary yet refined style. Our guestrooms start from approximately 35 sq m / 377 sq ft to 212 sq m / 2,281sq ft with every room presenting itself as a suite. Continuing its celebrated legacy, Hotel Cafe Royal offers a selection of restaurants and bars for guests to enjoy. At the heart of the hotel, the Ten Room offers British informal dining all-day, while the Green Bar is the perfect place to relax and unwind with a cocktail. Restored to revive the ornate Louis XVI decor and detailing, the iconic Oscar Wilde Bar (formerly the legendary Grill Room, originally established in 1865), is now the place to enjoy Champagne, cocktails and a light menu of British dishes and live entertainment on select evenings. The Cafe, on Regent Street, revives the European tradition of cafe culture. To complete the experience, the Akasha Holistic Wellbeing Centre is an urban retreat in the centre of the capital spanning over 1,200 sq m / 13,000 sq ft featuring a large lap pool, sauna and Hammam/steam room and offering a range of signature treatments. Reflecting a core vision to harmoniously unite the four natural elements of nature, Akasha features four corresponding spaces; lounge/earth, spa/water, gym/fire, yoga/air. ... more   less
