My husband and I stayed for one night and truly enjoyed our stay. The location is brilliant, surrounded by bars and restaurants if you don't want to be confined to the hotel. The rooms are fabulous, spotless, comfortable and a chilled atmosphere. We did not eat at the hotel but had drinks in the bar where the staff were friendly... More

ok hotel, our room was cramped, in the annex, with a view of a brick wall. Shower flooded the bathroom every time it was used and air conditioning wasn't effective. Pool was pleasant and location excellent, but the price we paid meant it wasn't good value for money.

This hotel was very CLEAN and the staff was very friendly. Housekeeping was amazing! They were very attentive to the little things and that for me stood out. The breakfast was very filling and my favorite thing was the Appletinis from the bar. YUM! The only thing that was "ok" was the menu options for your food choices. It's best... More

This hotel is in a fantastic location just by St Paul's Cathedral, and the roof terrace has great views. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Rooms were extremely clean and well appointed if a little business like. The bed was comfortable and it was extremely quiet. The best thing is the spa and pool which is free to use... More

My girlfriend and I stayed for our anniversary, the room was lovely very well maintained and good tea and coffee making facilities; and good clean bathroom. Unfortunately we ordered the room service, a total of £50s worth of food (for a burger & pizza with chips) the quality of both can only be described as cheap, akin to something you'd... More

Tucked away behind the hussle and bustle of the City is the Grange. Within walking distance from the cathedral and the South bank. We stayed on a Saturday evening and because it was my birthday, we got a complimentary bottle of champagne. Most hotels in the city of London are cheaper on the weekends as everything shuts in the city... More

Stayed here for 1 night with a lastminute secret hotel deal. Paid £109 which was an excellent deal for the hotel. Had a room on the 2nd floor which was accessible in a separate building (via open courtyard) and had access to it using your room card. Everything was as expected in the room; tea and coffee, hairdryer in bathroom,... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
