I stayed at The Rockwell for seven nights, it was a very pleasant stay. I booked the regular single room, and it was just enough space for one person, nothing more or less. Kind, friendly and helpful staff to say at least. The hotel was also very close to Earl's Court station, only a short walk away. You can also...

I was in London on business in the City for a day but was driving in from the west the night before and needed to head out west again that evening. This proved to be a near-perfect place to stay. Despite being on Cromwell Road - one of London's busiest streets - there was no noise of traffic once inside...

The hotel was an easy five minute walk from Earls Court Tube station, and on entering the clean and modern reception area, we were pleasantly surprised how quiet the hotel was despite being situated on the busy Cromwell Road. We were welcomed warmly and efficiently and our room was lovely....very clean and with everything you could want. Our only tiny...

This well-positioned boutique hotel on Cromwell Road Kensington is just a short 4-5min walk to Earls Court tube station. Perfect for city or airport tubes. Museums a 10-15min walk. First impressions count, that is ambience and staff. The large doors open to a reception lounge area, well appointed with lounges and magazines. The staff I have found exceed normal duties. My...

Not a bad wee hotel. Good for the price. But... We had asked for a quiet room by email twice and were put in the basement facing the main road and directly below reception. First night was disrupted but once they moved us it was ok. That room was large so if size is what you're after, the lower ground...

Attentive, friendly staff, nice and clean with quality toiletries and supplies in the mini bar. Decor in room was tired looking & needed attention in parts.. Breakfast definitely wasn't 4 Star standard though.

Clean well furnished hotel less than five minutes walk from tube with direct line into city centre and to Kings Cross station. The staff are exceptional - all of them offer service with a smile. Breakfast and evening meals available plus a small bar - all facilities well priced particularly for London!

Stayed on a Sunday whilst visiting for the Royal Albert Hall, very clean and pleasant staff! Sunday was quiet, good location for Earls Court and the history museum! Ate at the hotel and food was okay!

Lodged in a old Victorian building, this hotel does not look very fancy from outside. When inside, your mind is changed by a well designed lobby and the reception staff showing respect concern dedication and kindness. Plus a very comfortable bed and room. This deserves robe recommended.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
